What, the club? Or the self control to stop buying new clubs?

On a related note @ParFore74x, how do you know when you’re done buying clubs? Asking for a friend…

I actually have no idea. I just keep telling myself that I don’t need any more clubs and then I find myself buying another one. 😂 Even today, I had a voicemail on my phone that this wedge was in so I swung by the store to pick it up and still found myself looking at other clubs for a good 15 minutes. My bag is full, pretty much everything is new within the last year, and I still look and sometimes buy more. 🤪

A pair of New Balance Breeze spikeless shoes.

I've had trouble finding a truly comfortable pair of golf shoes - probably because I don't try stuff on and just order when I see something good on sale 🤷‍♂️ - but waaaay back when I used to jog I liked NB shoes.

Wore them around the house this morning ... the fit feels right and they do seem very comfortable! Will get to test them out in the next few days.

What golf club have you been eyeing up and haven't pulled the trigger on? OR  With the wonderful weather we have been having, new rain gear isn't a bad option.

Of lately Forest Hills(and the course my dad rode along with me when they visited, hence the gift card). I usually like to play different courses but this one the easiest to get on for an early morning nine, never a frost delay and great greens.

the top of my bag is on the fence. Currently super hybrid at 16* and sub70 3h at 18*. Been eyeing UWs or fairway woods or even DIs. The head pro there is a Srixon guy.

I already have pretty good rain gear I got last year. Maybe could use a second pair of shoes.

I like forest Hills, although I haven't been there in while.

I have the Sub70 3 HY and love it and currently testing the Sub70 4 wood. After a few adjustments its awesome.

Can never go wrong with a good pair dry shoes in our area. Sucks playing with wet feet.

I used gaiters when I was a young person and could still ski.  I haven't looked at them for golf, is there a type that go over the shoes and leg or are they like the ones we used for skiing? I'll have to look them up.

The Bushnell has died.   I decided to try something cheaper this go round as $500+ dollars has gotten old every 3 years.  That is how long my last 2 Bushnell's lasted.

Precision Pro NX9 Slope Golf Rangefinder with Slope from Amazon for $242 total cost including tax.  They are on sale at the website for $249 but I checked Amazon and they were $239 and then I noticed an 11% off coupon bringing the cost down to $227.  Here's the link if you are interested   https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07PP9Y76B/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1

nx9slope-1.jpg?sw=165&sh=165&sm=fit

It just arrived, 2 day Prime shipping is the way to go.  First impression is it is impressive for the $$.  If it last 3 years like the 2 Bushnell rangefinders I am over 50% ahead on money plus I get a 30% discount for trade in with Precision Pro for whatever I purchase then.  I think I am going to be happy with this purchase.

First round this morning with the Ventus TR. It was only 48* and I couldn’t really get loose but I only hit one shot with the TR/Single Diamond Mav left. Every other shot was a fade/push fade.  It took about 10 holes to get comfortable enough to aim at the left side of the fairway. Distance was still close to what I normally see so I have big expectations for when it warms up.

Congrats on the TMs, but the Rokform mount looks pretty cool, too.

I got the email from Club Champion about their 100th store and were offering a full bag fitting at $100.  Deal was just too good to pass up so I set it for August.

Also, there is a Titleist fitting at a local course in a couple weeks and I hope to get dialed into the new SM9 wedges.  Thinking about replacing my 54 and 58 with them.

Do they do the entire bag all in one session? If so, seems like a recipe to get tired and inconsistent. Unless you know what club you want and just need to get your shaft as well as length and lie, that’s a lot of swings in one session. A proper fitting for 2 clubs in one session would be tough for some people, myself included.

Agree, and yes they do usually do it in one session.  A friend of mine was able to break it up into two different sessions.

I did one a few years ago and the fitter definitely spent most time on driver/irons with me.  Wedges we didn't even really get to and the putter was an after thought.  Some positives and negatives about it for sure.
