Popular Post TR1PTIK
I recently had to switch my irons and was able to purchase some Bridgestone J40 CBs through the MGS classifieds. They needed and still require a bit more TLC, but I'm pretty happy overall. I'm sure I'll be looking to replace the X100s sometime in the future, but they'll get the job done for now. 9 1 Quote Driver: ST190 9.5* Fujikura Atmos Blue 5S Fairway Wood: ST190 15* Fujikura Atmos Blue 6S Hybrid: CLK 17* Fujikura Speeder EVO HB Irons: J40 CB (3-PW) Dynamic Gold Tour Issue X100 Wedges: Tour B XW-1 54* & 58* Nippon Modus 3 105 Putter: Huntington Beach SOFT Premier 4 34" Bag: Players 5 Stand Bag Ball: Maxfli Tour
Popular Post Buffly
The CHA Fairy has sprinkled some pixie dust in my coffee a few times recently. I purchased an outdoor hitting mat from eBay that reveals the strick and ground interaction with some sort of felt. It looks to be a rip off of the Acustrike Impact Training Mat. The price was right and USPS will be delivering it soon. At around $16 I had to buy 2 of them. The eBay mosquito bug bit me real good when I bought a Ping ISI Tour (laminated maple) Driver with a graphite shaft which is R flex (I play stiff)... So, CHA pixie dust MUST be to blame! About $58 was more than I wanted to spend, but I have been looking for one of these for a while. Then, if that wasn't enough, I got a set of Cleveland TA3 Form Forged 3-PW irons. They have Sun Valley Graphite R Flex 400 shafts - WTH is the CHA Fairy thinking???!!!??? I guess $65 was too good to pass up. Now I need to buy a set of shafts and grips to reshaft the irons ... Golfworks, here I come. 10 Quote Golf is simple - people are complicated. 5w Taylormade SLDR S 19* - 220yd, Ping G2 5-U - 190-105, Maltby M+ 54* & MG 60* - 95-75, Evnroll ER8, Titleist 816 H1 4h 21*, Maltby 4 Hybrid Iron 24* - 210-200, Callaway XR16 8* - 235 carry

Contacted customer service twice and they were great each time. The quarter zips felt a little on the bigger side to me (actually considered trying a Small, which is a size i haven't worn since middle school), and there's something about the sleeve cuffs that looks slightly odd to me, but that hasn't stopped me from picking up a few different colors. Their polos are great too, and the hoodie they released recently is my new favorite piece of clothing - I made the mistake of sizing up, as I always do with hoodies, but it fits very similar to the QZs (that was one of the customer service interactions). The pictures did them no favors at all. In person, the premier line is a stealthy killer! The color is more of a graphite than an ugly blah grey that the pictures show. PMookie
The Srixon head that I bought on eBay wasn’t as nice as the pictures, so, on the recommendation on my shaft guy, I bought a Titleist 905r last night on eBay to use instead. The head is pristine! The owner of Xphlexxx told me that the 905r was one of the most STABLE heads one could get because of the 2” bore through depth of the shaft. He says when a shaft goes that deep, it keeps the head super steady, resisting twisting. So he’s now going to load this one up to 210-215g on the XXX Busa shaft, and have it play 45”. If it did, everyone would still be making a bore through head. The "hot set up" on tour was to go up one flex and only install 1.5" which took out the guessing of how weak a shaft to go a full 3" in bore thru depth. You could not just pick a shaft and install it, especially with any kind of active tip shaft. The YS6 and YS7 were very popular shafts in the 905r, which is a Hall Of Fame head in my opinion. But Robo or your club fitter can give you advice but I would pick the right shaft flex and install 1.5". We drilled out quite a few of those heads to a 1.5" bore depth and left the other 1.5" of whatever shaft was in there for a clean install. 6 Quote Driver: SIM2 Max 10.5* ... Mine, especially off mats and with worn range balls, will read absurdly high or low amounts of spin sometimes. I've found that it can affect the distance estimations by quite a few yards as a result. Over a 10+ shot sequence (the web interface is great for displaying the averages, though the app can do it too), I've found the Mevo to be ridiculously accurate for its price. And the automatic video clipping feature with ability to shout out a specific metric is a godsend.
