What Have You Bought Lately? (CHA - Club Ho's Anonymous)

Ah dang, apparently I'm a Wedge Ho now... 

Over the weekend, ordered individual components to build 3 new wedges. Chose the lofts/bounces so that they're not directly replacing my current suite of wedges, instead planning to swap things in/out based on "conditions" (i.e. how I feel on a given day, I'm not good enough to adapt to conditions). Will need to send pics of the final build, but only the shafts are in right now -- hoping for mid-May build: 

Heads: Vokey SM9 Jet Black 46.10 (my first separate wedge under 50*, might replace the 44* PW), 54.12, and 58.08. Adding on customizations from Sick Sticks Golf -- 46 will be a $100 bill, 54 will be Kenny Powers on the jet ski (matches the new driver cover...yea, bought that too), and 58 will be Tin Cup with the quote "Greatness Courts Failure" (you know, for the close-range flopper).  

Components: Grips will be Masters-colored Golf Pride MCC that I picked up last year and are waiting to be used; BB&F Golden Bell ferrules

Shafts: KBS Tour Green/Yellow X Flex:

Funny, I had a similar fashion journey lately. Part of it is losing weight, another part is moving on from the baggy and airy men's large mis-fit look to an affinity for dri-fit fabric that fits close but stretches and wicks moisture.

Below is a comparison of the Men's L "Golden Bear Performance" shirt that was my go-to as recently as last summer and the Top Flite shirt I'm wearing today.

So golf wise I'm set, and I promise that the new WITB is coming soon... but IYKYK, some Pickleball paddles demos for potential singles paddles for the wife and I are inbound today, and we're making a disc golf run here by end of the month for our Vermont trip.

Mizuno GT180 is my most recent purchase, found it in the used club section for $35.  Couldn't pass that up, especially considering the initial price tag on it. Looks great next to my ST-Z driver.

If I were a Packers fan, I'd respond with something like "don't worry, Rodgers can still own the Bears in a different shade of green". But I'm a transplant, grew up in Bills country, so... well, I guess that doesn't change the statement at all

... It's a shame Rodgers wasn't a cooler dude. As an ex QB I was always in awe of his pure physical talent and he indeed owned the Bears. But just such a hard guy to like. Now Allen is that dude!

They've arrived.  Big props to PGA superstore and Tour Edge.  Ordered Monday, shipped direct from the factory in Illinois on Wednesday.  Arrived in Los Angeles today.

Nice attention to detail.   Perfectly aligned logo down on both shafts and grips.  It's nice to see things put together well.  The clubs are beautiful too.  Nice compact head.  Weighting feels great even though they're a bit lighter than I prefer at D3.  Took a few practice swings in the back yard and hit a foam ball at my rear block wall.  Can't wait to really hit them, but surely its a good sign to see the foam  ball bounce straight back at me?   Going to try to sneak out early tomorrow and wedge a session in before I pick up my brother and his family from the airport.

What brands have you found that are short enough to leave untucked. I dont have much in the way of selection to actually look at in person where I live

I can chime in mine and my father (73 years old going from medium to small in some cases) I get his hand me downs from Van Huesen, his favorite outlet spot, in Medium and have 2 I wear all the time.

... I have purchased several in the last year and Bermies are at the top of my list. Sign up and they give you 10% off. Put some shirts in your cart and leave them there and they usually ask you to check out a few times, then offer a 20% off a day later.  You can see them in the middle of my shirts and they are quite a bit shorter than my Footjoys.

May have got some competition for the Sub70 659 TCs. 

They will need to be reshafted before I put them in play, but the deal was too good to pass up and it makes for a good little project which will be fun to chronicle.

I love hats and even though I've been gaming some Cobra gear for the past couple years, the closest thing I've had has been some Puma hats. Decided to change that today, ordered a new 2023 King Cobra cap in black and one in navy. I think they're sharp!

Well I’ve bought some Mizuno hot metal irons for $199 USA and less than half price compared to what I’ve looked at on eBay, so this became possible with the help of @GolfSpy_BNG because the seller can’t ship internationally He offered to receive and reship them to me. A huge thanks …

When I receive the irons I’ll post photos, so 7 to gap wedge mizuno 919 hot metal plus 900 hot metal 6 iron which was my fantasy purchase that’s almost come true. I’m nervous because of the price which @GolfSpy_BNG suggested could be problematic but fingers crossed all good hopefully my irons arrive, can’t wait

Really hope so!!!! Guy won it at a local meat draw at the Elks club here in town. He had been drinking but told me he was an avid Titleist fan and Callaway is ok. What funny is I've been preparing to get a rogue but this was cheaper than a used rogue! No head cover, but beggers can not be choosers here. I have not bit the Paradym before but have been fitted into Callaway, so I hope the transition is smooth. I saw Johnny Wunder mentioned moving the 14g weight back and the 2 forward to add a bit of spin. Anyone else try that with success?
