Nice setup! I used that shaft for a while when I had a Mizuno ST-Z driver and really liked it. Hope it’s a fairway finder for you.

My son needs a more forgiving driver and hes balking at me buying him more stuff. I have been looking for a bargain used 425 max but bargain and 425 dont seem to mix lol. how forging is the 410 and if you have experience with the 425 or 430 what are the plusses and cons of the 410, any info is appreciated.

I’ve never hit the G410 or G425. The G400 though is pretty forgiving. But it could depend on what his miss tends to be. If he slices than maybe the G400 SFT would be a good option.

Hit the G410 on a simulator and didn’t see too many gains from the G, wasn’t enough for me to justify making the switch.  All Ping drivers are solid choices.  I started to get wild with the G (hit a big slice occasionally) and ended up moving to a Sim 2 Max with better results for my swing currently.  Had Ping drivers for years before that with good results though…don’t think you could go wrong with a Ping.

Not really a purchase but a new driver is on the way. Played on Saturday and my Epic Max LS gave out on 13. Called Callaway today just to see if I still had any warranty coverage and they are replacing it no questions asked with a Rogue ST Max LS. The offered a Paradym if I wanted that instead but I fit better into the Rogue line than the new line. Pretty nice of Callaway to offer this replacement since I am fairly sure it has been in my bag for more than two years, not by a lot but definitely over two years.

Earlier today I was contemplating whether to pick up another set of Taylormade MG3 wedges in 50-09, 54-11, 58-08.  They have been the best wedges I ever used.  Slight edge relief has made a huge difference.

 

I went to Golftown this afternoon and picked up the 50 and 54 wedge.  Will place an order online for the 58 tomorrow morning.  I have the gift cards with nothing else I need so I figured why not.

Never played the TEE clubs but I scour the Internet for golf info and everything I read makes me think they are coming to the front, the 723 line gets some wicked reviews as well.

I went by DSG today and bought a brick of MaxFli Tour balls and a SuperStroke Traxion Pistol GT 2.0 grip for the Cobra Agera. I've been wanting a slightly larger grip for the putter since I think the 1.0 it came with is messing with me mentally.

... I have said this before Chunks but the grip is the only thing we touch so it is physical as well as mental. As soon as you put it in your hands and it just doesn't feel right it will mess with you mentally as well as potentially fidgeting with it to try and find a comfortable position. Having the right grip makes a huge difference imo.

From my perspective (improving high handicapper) the Tour Edge clubs I've tried are legit!!

I agree totally, Sam. I just couldn't get confident feeling like my hands weren't firmly seated on the grip. I was hitting my targets really well but just lacked the confidence to really hit it on the longer putts without solid contact between my hands and the club.

It's going to be wet this week so I'll have to bring out the PuttOut to see how it rolls. It's the grip I've played on my last three putters, so I'm confident in it.
