Welcome to the premium golf ball world of the Pro V1.  I still can’t stomach the price.  I agree they are really good.  It’s my go to ball for simulators! .

But during the recent Srixon 2 for 1 deal, I bought a bunch of Srixon Z Star Diamonds.  They are pretty awesome.  Now I am wishing I bought more since I still have a bunch of Z Stars and Z Star XV which were more expensive when I bought them in the Winter.  The Diamond is great!  Nice feel, good distance and great spin around the greens.

For all the golf apparel junkies out there, check out KEA Golf. Company puts out great products, same materials as the $100 shirts, at a fraction of the price, and they are Veterans who give back to Veteran charities. Will be using them for our large annual golf tournament shirts moving forward. Their customer service is also top notch, you interface with the owners right away and only the owners, something I have never experienced from a golf apparel company. Cant say enough about them, definitely worth trying out!

One of these will be sold after tomorrow. I've got 6 tournaments coming up in the next 2 months and I need to settle in with a driver. 

Stealth 2 9⁰ with Aldila RIPx TX and the Srixon ZX5 MKII LS 10.5 with fujikura ventus black 6x. I hit the MKII at the same demo day I got my irons and it finally came in. I had bought the Stealth 2 already and had been hitting it. Hitting each driver off ever hole tomorrow to see the winner.

I get to try them for 30 days and can ship them back free for a full refund if i don’t like them, but I would probably try putting the shafts in two Cleveland wedges rather than do that.

So these arrived yesterday afternoon, and this morning I put them in the bag just before I went out to play a scramble. When I went to show them to my buddies on the first tee, I saw they shipped me another 46* wedge, not the 51* I ordered, so that’s going back. 
I never had to hit the 56* from a bunker, but I did take 3 full swings and hit a few short shots around the green with it, and it was really good. Hopefully they have another LH 51* I can try, but it’s a roll of the dice with these prior year models, so who knows?

About 2weeks ago my 11 yo grandson in central Fl expressed an interest in golf.  Several years ago I bought him a child’s set and he would hit the clubs when visited.  He has grow quite a bit, and my SIL and daughter signed him up for lessons st pgatss. I ordered a set of Tour Edge HL-J set and they were delivered in 2 days, 1 day before his lesson.  Beautiful clubs and bag.  He loves them and loved his lessons, so he just brought them up for our traditional 4th holiday with all our family and his cousins.

I checked out their site - does look like good stuff but the polos shown now are just a bit too, umm, bold for this old dude

You are wrong they aren't Vets they are Submariners and that's a whole another level of Kra Kra lol. As a ex Submariner myself I was morally obligated to give them a try so I placed an order for 2 polos and a glove.

This is my lucky week.  Yesterday my club announced a Srixon/Cleveland fitting day this coming Friday.  I was the first to sign up. Both RTX and CBX look really nice.

... That time of year and I bought a 2nd pair of summer sandals at the Ecco Outlet. Too hot for socks so these are my over 105* Sandals. Very comfortable with a lot of support:

it may just be in my head but when I open up the full face with the higher toe  I have more confidence around the green, its like it gives me more options plus it still has enough bounce to hit a full shot. I would like to talk to someone who uses a 56 full face for a sand wedge

... Thanks, But I won't be in the sun enough to get tan lines. I have a dark brownish-green pair just like them I bought 2 summers ago. But I wear mostly light colors in summer and of course my feet are light tan and just above my ankles DARK brown.

... They are only one size but the straps can be adjusted for any size foot and has a pretty wide base. I love Ecco shoes and I keep an eye out for sales which can be up to 50% off. Sign up for emails on throw website and quite often they have golf shoes/sandals/hiking shoes for 30% off and then like this 4th of July sale take another 20% off shoes on sale.

I've bought a 1921 Mizuno STz Driver head only for $95, been looking at the range of driver's available for the best price? I like Mizuno so easy decision to snap this up to replace my 2016 MP Type ll driver, it's on the way so I need to buy a new adapter as it doesn't look like the MP adapter will fit. Anyone playing the STz can post anything would be appreciated cheers..

It will make you more visible on the course and may prevent the group behind you from hitting into you while playing. 

Some do appear to brighter and bolder than other's and I decided to try one that wasn't too bold and another that is what I would consider bold.

was on a mission to change out my irons on Monday; the mp54 are really really nice but I'm just not consistent enough with them and am lacking a little distance.

there's a store around us called The Golfer's Warehouse and they always have tons of used sets for sale. I've been fit so many times I know what to look for on the sim and am able to figure it out pretty quickly.

They did not disappoint. There were probably 30-40 different used sets in there and the store was pretty quiet so I was able to test a lot of them. The good thing is there was a wide variety of shafts as well.

I tried p790, zx7, a couple mizunos, pxg, ping, callaway, etc. and I was shocked at what I ended up with.

A set of Honma TR20p with Modus 105 stiff in 4-11 (yes, there's a 10 and 11 iron in the set).

From 4i down I was getting the right distance and dispersion and the feel was fantastic. I know they're 'stronger lofted', etc. but that's what I was looking for. It's about a club difference from what I'm currently at and I really needed the 4 and 5 at the top of the bag to fill in my gaps.

Haven't had a round with them but they are in great shape and am looking forward to getting them out there.

I had a 'hole' in my bag both in Florida and here in Ohio. My clubs went from a 14.5* 3 wood to a 22* Hybrid. I use to have a 19* a few years back - so  decided today to pull the trigger on this Stealth2  #3 19* with a Vetus TR 67 g shaft in regular Flex.

That said Golfworks sells authentic Ping adaptors. My pard bought one and had me install it on a new NVS 45gm senior shaft that went into his Ping G Driver. He could not be happier.
