@KOG do you happen to have a source about the Kirkland origin? Just curious as I'd kinda suspected they may come from a foreign foundry as an "open", I think it's called, mold.

Also interesting, re: SMT - checked out their site and (a) an iron set is crazy stoopit cheap, (b) the table showing the iron specs is the same way that Sub 70 presents it on their site .. so I looked, and .. (c) they share the same biz address as Sub 70 (so wonder if the two biz are related or just happen to be in the same building).

Yeah, I believe its being imported by Hurricane Golf / Diamond tour guy Jason Hiland, who also runs sub 70.  SMT was just one of the brands they tried to import and sell on the Diamond Tour club building website.  Once he started doing well with Sub 70, all the other brands were lower priority. It seems like SMT is exactly doing what you expect, just using foundry models that are open. Same thing with Lynx and Dynacraft as they were using open models from the same foundry so Dynacraft had to stop making one of their forged clubs as Lynx bought the design. I forget which golf forum I read about this on, either this one or golf wrx but it was discussed a while ago when SMT components were brought up.

Landed myself on a Rogue ST TD today in an x-flex. Been struggling with spin with D-stick and been looking for something I can eventually grow into so it was the perfect pick up!

I ended up settling for the Rogue ST Max LS as a good blend of slight spin reduction and maintaining a level of forgiveness. I hit the Max LS more consistently than both the TD and Max D I previously used and as far as I was hitting the TD when I tried all three. Just mentioning in case you find you don't get on with the low MOI/ lower forgiveness triple diamond Rogue.

What driver brand are you playing?  

CPO has been great with their sales.  Dallas golf

Fb marketplace has been good but I have only done local.

I got mine from a company that buys old stock and sells them at discount. They send you a deal of the day everyday. It’s called Golf Deals and Steals.

Speaking only for myself, another member had this set as surplus and sold them to me for a very reasonable price. It’s a little bit of being in the right place at the right time.

I’m actually looking for iron shafts. For some reason CPO is not where I’d expect to find shafts, but I’ll have to check it out.  I’d like to try graphite… and I’m most interested in either Mitsubishi MMT 80 S or Aerotech Steelfiber 95 S.

... A shaft Ho is always looking.  I have bought a set of irons that had the shafts I wanted, installed a different shaft and sold them breaking even or coming out ahead. Ebay is always being scouted and as Tom said Golf Deals and Steals can have some bargains. It takes dedication and I looked for a AD-IZ S/R shaft for almost 5 months before finding one. I really wanted a Ventus Red Velo but wasn't gonna spend $350 when I had shafts working very well. I ended up with a new Stealth2 HD and the Ventus Red 5R (exactly what I wanted) for less than the cost of a Stealth2 HD with a stock shaft. Admittedly I got pretty lucky but it happens if you are actively looking under every rock.

Very interesting! I’m wanting to start to assemble my own sets and clubs so I guess I need to start turning over more rocks!

That’s awesome! I did the MGS forum review for the Clicgear 4.0 pushcart and it is a good one also! The Nitron seems to have some more tech and is a slightly better value, IMO. Anyway, I love being part of the pushcart mafia and welcome @BallsLeon

Good choice! I’ve been really happy with the Nitron. I love how easy it is to fold up and how compact it is. Rolls well and is stable enough. 
I bought the storage bag for it, which is great for keeping the car clean and carrying it between garage and car.

Welcome to the mafia!! Great choice with the Nitron. I just finished up my third season with my Nitron and still love it.
