Put together a set of Maltby TS3 with some BBF ferrules and Modus 105 shafts, shortly after I won an auction for Mitsubishi MMT graphite shafts and Im torn on installing them as of yet as I havent been able to really play with the Modus due to weather

Snagged a pair of Tad Moore Pro 1 P units early in the week and they showed up this afternoon. One is an absolutely cherry Blue Oxide finish. The other is a Black Oxide finish (pictured below) and has just enough gentle wear for me to feel comfy offering it a gamer audition. They were both 35” with hideous SuperStroke 3.0 grips, so I immediately went to work cutting this one down to 31”, adding 20 grams to the tip, wrapping the shaft in black heat shrink and pulling a GP Pro Score grip (if you know, you know) out of my dead stock stash.

The angled neck has a full shaft offset with just a smidge of toe hang. The prior owner added a sorta sloppy white dot to the topline that had me a little worried about what might be hiding underneath but an acetone soaked q-tip deleted that no problem. Looks super clean behind the ball now and I think the overall black-tie treatment turned out pretty good. Looking forward to warmer weather next week and rolling some potatoes with this rare bird.

Very cool. I have a TM-55 I am surprisingly accurate with that sometimes gets in the bag. Tad Moore and Bobby Grace, you are a man of taste.

Love the idea of a heatshrink on the shaft. I never considered that but Im going to try that

Question about adding 20 g; Do you do the old school sand or tungston in shaft and then cork it? Or are you working with a 20g plug?

This latest Pro 1 P score is my first time dipping a toe into the Tad Moore pool but my Bobby Grace collection is extensive and started way back when he partnered with Macgregor.

We have a nice thread on DIY Heat Shrink Shaft Treatment that @hckymeyer started and I’d be stoked to see your finished project posted there. I like heat shrink because it’s inexpensive, an easy way to add some weight along the entire club and actually protects the shaft finish. It comes in a bunch of colors but I typically go for black w/ 3/4” ID and 3:1 shrink ratio. Two things to look out for: stay away from the “marine grade” stuff with heat activated adhesive and make sure it doesn’t have the product specifics printed on the exterior.

Re: tip weighting - it just depends on the project. Went with tungsten powder on this one even though I don’t particularly like the stuff. It’s annoying how the powder clings to the shaft, so I swab the interior with a rifle barrel cleaning kit after it’s cork plugged. Powder plus heat shrink added up to ~30 grams on this build.

that will hold me over for a while, but a new hybrid is on list too since my current one just isn’t far enough apart from my 4-iron distances.

First time long time. I decided I needed to keep a bag down in Tampa where we travel to visit my wife’s family, frequently enough. The plan was to get some good finds from Goodwill, but that ended up snowballing as things like these tend to do… Ended up with:
- A net setup in the garage with the Rapsodo MLM

- Outlet Callaway Epic Speed from CPE ($140, basically new)

- And my goodwill finds including before and after iron cleanup:

I haven’t bought anything recently, but I am eyeing a set of Mizuno pro 225’s that I’ve hit a few times. Might up and trade up from my PXG gen 4 clubs. Who knows.

I thought I would provide an update on the purchase of my indoor putting green that I made on Black Friday.

In one word, impressed.

The putting green rolls consistently and provides a fast side(with the grain) and a slower side(against the grain). You can actually feel the grain When you rub your hand back and forth.

The bottom part of the mat is made of a foam-like material and measures about 3/4 inch. The top part feels like felt and not shaggy. At first glance, you wonder whether or not there would be a durability issue. But I could attest that’s not the case. the mat is very stable, does not roll up for warp around the edges, and lies flat on the floor. It doesn’t budge.I wouldn’t, however, let my pet cat or dog run on it because their nails may dig deep enough indent the foam. Nor would i practice with spiked golf shoes for the same reason.

I bought the 4x10 version with one hole on each side. I find it large enough to practice long putts,short ones and wide enough to even practice across the grain putts.

After unrolling it when it arrived, I noticed a blemish at the centre of the green ( see picture.] I contacted their after services department and they were quick to act. The blemish did not affect playability but it was an eyesore of sorts. they were ready to replace the entire green but after a few days the foam like material seemed to auto-repair and the blemish went away.( weird but true)

anyway, I am very happy with the product and I would highly recommend it for anyone who is looking for a realistic type indoor putting green.

if you research yourself, you will notice that their products always rank somewhere around top 3.and I think you get good value for the price.

As to putting better well, we’ll see! LO L

Happen to have the same Birdie Ball mat and am also very happy with it!

It did, however get customized after I'd left the garage door open while looking for something inside .. came back and my old Lab had gone exploring in the garage and left me several nail marks towards one end of the mat...

That is often the scariest question in the world. However my wife normally says What golf crap arrived now? At this point she is accepting of it and that its just a part of our normal lives.

My fiance has only been dealing with my new obsession for 2 months and she has come to accept the random packages coming in that she will never understand... So I am going to start to throw in little packages for her in between. Should I keep a closet full of small gifts to interval between my packages to hide the amount coming in? Possibly

I haven't bought anything big. Headcovers, ballmarkers couple of polos  and a aero swing trainer. Don't  have any intentions on buying any clubs. I am good in that dept.

Ok so I am not the only one that thought it was a good idea lol My fiance likes arts & crafts so I have been helping her get more into that which is good because it is time consuming like golf can be.

I have a set of those Hogan Edge GS irons 2-SW that are in mint condition, a coworker used to work for Spaulding and before they went out of business he had pick them up. They were in his attic still in original boxing. I loved the Hogan Edge originals prior to them coming out with the GS model. Best irons I ever played!

I was watching some you tube videos and came across Elite Fit golf, he did comparisons for the wedges and also has another video for the driver counter balance.

They feel *amazing* and I actually really like the feel of the heavier heads! I game Maltby DBMs but may switch to these after I regrip them, and instead send my Callaway XRs to Tampa. Still debating!
