Well the LAB Broomstick barely lasted two weeks so I guess my not adding any new putter streak of over two years remains intact. Was a really nice putter but was honestly no better than anything I have so it got returned. For those scoring at home the first putter I bought in over two years got returned…..I am apparently now a one putter guy.

After spending [redacted] on getting fitted and whole new setup last year I had decided that I'm not buying any new stuff this year. I'll buy balls and gloves and that's it. Now I'm on twitter and y'all are showing me new golf shoes for $40!

The only thing I didn't buy last year was new golf shoes and now that I'm back to playing multiple times/week, it seems like a justifiable expense. My wife won't say anything when they show up to the house (she loves me and wants me to be happy) but I'm struggling with the fact that I'm not even going to make a month into the new year without buying new gear.

Ohhh thats pretty. The shape is like the Cleveland Classic XL 290 and I am a fan of that shape. Is it a taller faced driver like the Cleveland was?

I really like mine, unless its really slick its my go to pair over much more expensive Footjoy shoes that I have.

That's good to hear and probably about how my shoes are going to get used. Rainy, slick days I'll wear the old school (hard bottom, full leather upper, waterproof) Foot Joys and wear the new Adidas when I'm not as worried about the weather or getting traction.

Ok, so I just  played 18 holes with my new 902PDs from New Level. I switched from PXG 311s. So here is the down and dirty. The 902PDs are awesome! They are longer than the PXGs that are fitted exactly the same minus the shafts. The PXGs have the KBS Xstiff tour lites, the 902s have the Project X IO 6.5. The PDs were on average 5-7 yards longer. I had more workability with the PDs. I could hit all the shots I wanted with the PDs. I couldn’t with the PXGs. I still need to get more swings in, but I’m very excited with the PDs. I think I’ll be able to add even more yardage once I’ve gotten more used to them. I’ve played the PXGs for three years and have only played the PDs for 18 holes. More to come!!! Picked up a pair of TRUE Linkswear All Day Hybrid Joggers that were on sale. Tapered, but not cinched on the ankles which I like. Larges fit pretty good for someone who usually wears 33x32, and they are nice and lightweight.

The exact link I used is now a dead one but I found it by searching 'Puma Ignite nxt'. Those popped up and they happened to have my size.

My buddy who works for a golf warehouse hooked me up with a brand new Titleist TSR2 3-wood to replace my current gamer that is my least favorite club in my bag. I cannot wait to put this thing to work and hopefully fall in love with it

The club came with a Fujikura Ventus Red 7S Shaft, but he was also kind enough to include a Mitsubishi TENSEI AV Blue 65 Stiff shaft with a Titleist tip as a possible backup. Excited to try out both of them and see what fits better with my game.

In addition, he also hooked me up with a pair of last year's Puma spikeless golf shoes. They were practically giving these away and I love the look of them. Always good to have more golf shoes around to alternate styles and extend the life of them.

 

That is some friend! Very awesome package to have show up! I have the TSR2 3W with a ProjectX Blue Smoke shaft and love it! They are beautiful behind the ball! Time for some comparisons on the Mevo thread!

I have been fitted by PXG prior so, just use the same specs.

My latest golf purchase is lead tape for my putter. Since cutting the shaft down 2.5” and putting on a slightly heavier grip, the head feels light. This would be my first attempt at using lead tape.

After golf, I stopped at a different thrift store I'd never been in. Just inside the door was this. Had a few clubs in it.  The bag was marked 9.99, when I asked about the putters too, he said they go with it...

I cannot find any info or similar images on Google about the AIMgolf BP 12 putter.

The bag needs a washing, and the bottom ring is slightly bent inside the bag, but everything is in tact and operational.  This will be my "work bag" . Going to throw 6 clubs in it and take it with me on days I work the course.

I'm big on foot comfort. Refuse to wear something pretty and painful!

I'd buy them again. I also golfed in pumas all last year except for muddy rounds.

Found a Titleist 816 H1 21° hybrid at GG yesterday while killing time over lunch. If the launch monitor data carries over to the course I’ll have my missing link for that 190-200 gap in my game. First used club I’ve ever purchased for a whopping $35.

Watch you don’t have it too much towards the heel or toe. If so, it will change the performance to draw or fade bias.
