2 dozen Maxfli Tour balls based on; my own MGS Official Testing of these balls in 2019, their high rating in the most recent MGS Ball Lab Tests, and my buddy Chris (@Thin2win)'s home PLM studio test results comparing/testing the ball lab results... well that and a 40% off deal .  I do notice that they have changed the packaging since my testing of the Tour and Tour X; which seemed to emphasize the CG Balanced feature of the ball more so than current product.

Well, go big or go home as they say .  Not much value in a loft/lie machine that cannot reliably measure to at least half of the units of measure it's intended to achieve.  By all accounts those are top shelf.  Let us know what you think of it.

Yeah, and the Golf Mechanix machines that are around $799 don't come out to be all that much cheaper after adding in the stand, the bending bar, etc. The Mitchell machine prices listed include the stand and bending bar.

I just installed some BBandFCo ferrules on my wedges. I had purchased a Shorty Roulette set earlier this year. This is my first attempt of this sort of club work. From a distance they look pretty darn good. Upon closer inspection one can seen the imperfections . The real test will come when I can hit them again to see if the heads stay on. . But it’s currently 23 degrees and snowing Central New York.

Nice work, what method did you use to turn down the ferrules?

Thanks! I used some 220 grit sand paper, I didn’t have an emory cloth, and turned them by hand. Then I wiped them with acetone. I need to get some car wax on them though to give them a nice shine. @McGolf recently posted a great video that covered hand turning ferrules. That was the final push to encourage me to try this little project. Watching Jim build clubs makes it look so easy. My attempt was a bit sloppier. I used a lot more wipes to clean the epoxy overflow.  I’m going to regrip them as soon as I find some Golf Pride Z Grip Patriot grips. They are out of stock everywhere.

Nice work.  I've done a few clubs and turning ferrules does seem to be an art and I never quite get it right.

I realize this isn't Golf Pride but I've got some of this brands grips on my practice irons and they're great! I'm convinced they use the exact compound mix and possibly even come out of the same factory as the GP's but just have a different name stamped on them. For $45 on Amazon you get everything shown here. It's a hell of a deal. 

Plus you can just turn the logo down and nobody would reall know the difference unless they looked really close at the pattern.

I've never been able to get that professional look by hand. It ends up looking fine, but not perfect.

But now that I have a 42" belt sander with a cloth belt, now its much easier to turn down ferrules and looks much better.

Someday, I’m slowly building my repair skills and tools. A vise is next to make  re-gripping easier. I want to get more comfortable with the basics. I can see this becoming an addiction. LOL Shaft puller, loft and lie machine…

Merry Christmas all.  Won an ebay auction for a 699pro 639 cb set this morning.  Shafts are wrong... So that necessitated an order from golf works. 

Then I opened up my SIL present which was a stitch golf gift card... A big one.  So Combined with a discount code I've got an SL2 on the way for $60.    I better put my phone down before I break myself...
