Uhm.... so I thought I was happy with the Covert 1.0 3 wood, until I found a BNIP Adams XTD Ti 15*.  Given that I've fallen in love with the BB 7S in my driver, I may either put an MT 7S or Earth 7F4 into this head if I don't care for the Red Tie.  The Earth already has about 1" tipping when installed with the TM adapter so I'd just have to chop the butt down a bit really.

I hope you see this Fire in the Hole - I just noticed your question regarding my new putter.  I agree the head shape is kinda groovy and was part of the attraction.  The feel off the insert is quite nice, soft yet positive and it puts a really nice roll on the ball.  Even the tiny aim line is perfect for the size of the head and fits with the aim small miss small theory that I used to convince myself to buy the thing in the first place.  According to the specs on the Ping Website the head is 350 grams.

 

Our greens are running at 11 to 11.5 on the stimp at the moment and down hill they are quicker.  I have found the head weight to be perfect for these quick greens with plenty of heft for longer putts but light enough to putt a positive roll on those down hill left to righters that make life difficult.  The putter itself has really helped pull me out of the putting doldrums so I'm really happy with it especially since I'm making more birdies with it

Stopped by the golf store to put new grips on my D, 3W, 3H ... Saw some RSI2 demo's for $699. Hit them and loved them. Traded in my Burner 2.0's for $100, returned my brand new Vokey 48 and 52 because this set goes through the GW, and got 15% off. Ended up with RSI2's out the door for $274. Not bad if I do say so myself. Now I've got a 6* gap between the GW and my SW. Will have to figure that out but it shouldnt be a big deal. Either way, $274 for $999 (when brand new) irons is a hell of a steal.

When it get my irons lie adjusted up 1 degree, walked out with the Nike Storm Fit Hyper-Adapt Jacket. Damn that was pricey. Played sunday morning in a constant drizzle and realized it would have been 10 times more fun if I could have stayed semi dry.

 

Also put the Golf Pride MCC Plus 4's on my 4 - LW. Feel great, love the thicker bottom half.

Bought an Oban Devotion 7 O6 to put in my three wood and really liking it. Funny that for the reason I like the Diamana D+ in my driver is the exact same reason that I hate it in my three wood. In the driver I don't have to really go after it to move it out 285 but in the three wood I feel like I can't jump on it withou the fear of a hook. The tour x in the Oban pretty much elimintes that fear for me.

I just picked up a set of Titleist AP1s, a Vokey 52* and a Scotty Cameron Bullseye.  Up until about 7 years ago, I was a huge Titleist ho and it would seem that Ive rediscovered my Titleist love.

My first set of, "real" irons were Titleist DCI 981s and my first, "real" putter was a Titleist Bullseye.

Have not played with them yet, but I tried them on....size is correct, and they feel very smooth like my Mizuno Cabretta leathers.

Went into the PGA Superstore while the wife was shoe shopping with the kids and left with a Kenny Giannini G2 putter. Rolled it nice on the putting green so I will give it a try.
