juspoole 3,326
I got the email from Club Champion about their 100th store and were offering a full bag fitting at $100. Deal was just too good to pass up so I set it for August. Also, there is a Titleist fitting at a local course in a couple weeks and I hope to get dialed into the new SM9 wedges. Thinking about replacing my 54 and 58 with them. 5 Quote Driver: Mavrik Sub Zero 9* (Set to 10) Ventus Blue 6X 2 Hybrid: TSI3 Hybrid Tensei Blue 80 X (17.25*) 3 Hybrid 818 H2 Hybrid Hzrdus RDX Black 6.5 (20.5*) 4 Iron - T200 4 Iron Graphite Design Tour AD IZ X Hybrid Shaft Irons 5-PW: T100-S 5 - GW KBS Tour 130 X Gap/Sand Wedge: Vokey SM6 49* SM8 54* Lob Wedge: Jaws 5 Wedge 58* DG Tour Issue Stiff Putter: Phantom 5.5 34" Pro Platinum Newport 2 35" Taylormade Tour Black Spider 34"

Unless you know what club you want and just need to get your shaft as well as length and lie, that’s a lot of swings in one session. A proper fitting for 2 clubs in one session would be tough for some people, myself included. 3 Quote Driver: Taylormade Stealth 10.5º (Fujikura Ventus Red 5 Stiff) 3 Wood: Taylormade Stealth 15º (Fujikura Ventus Red 5 Stiff) Hybrid: Titleist 818 H1 19º (Tensei HYB Blue 80 Stiff) Irons: Taylormade Stealth 4-Gap (Fujikura Ventus Blue Graphite 7S Stiff) Wedges: Cleveland CBX ZipCore 54º (True Temper Dynamic Gold 115 Spinner Tour Issue Steel), Vokey SM8 56 10S (AMT Black Wedge Flex) Putter: PXG Blackjack (Plumbers Neck) or Odyssey Eleven Stroke Lab (Center Shaft) Ball: MaxFli Tour X CG Fitted for all clubs from irons on up. A friend of mine was able to break it up into two different sessions. I did one a few years ago and the fitter definitely spent most time on driver/irons with me. Wedges we didn't even really get to and the putter was an after thought. Some positives and negatives about it for sure. 3 Quote Driver: Mavrik Sub Zero 9* (Set to 10) Ventus Blue 6X 2 Hybrid: TSI3 Hybrid Tensei Blue 80 X (17.25*) 3 Hybrid 818 H2 Hybrid Hzrdus RDX Black 6.5 (20.5*) 4 Iron - T200 4 Iron Graphite Design Tour AD IZ X Hybrid Shaft Irons 5-PW: T100-S 5 - GW KBS Tour 130 X Gap/Sand Wedge: Vokey SM6 49* SM8 54* Lob Wedge: Jaws 5 Wedge 58* DG Tour Issue Stiff Putter: Phantom 5.5 34" Pro Platinum Newport 2 35" Taylormade Tour Black Spider 34"

I would think that wedges would be hard to fit on a turf hitting bay since the goal is to find the right grind and bounce, right? I’m told that just a proper putter fitting can be very strenuous. Never done one of those. Do you plan on fitting for a 3w or hybrid as well as irons and driver? 1 Quote Driver: Taylormade Stealth 10.5º (Fujikura Ventus Red 5 Stiff) 3 Wood: Taylormade Stealth 15º (Fujikura Ventus Red 5 Stiff) Hybrid: Titleist 818 H1 19º (Tensei HYB Blue 80 Stiff) Irons: Taylormade Stealth 4-Gap (Fujikura Ventus Blue Graphite 7S Stiff) Wedges: Cleveland CBX ZipCore 54º (True Temper Dynamic Gold 115 Spinner Tour Issue Steel), Vokey SM8 56 10S (AMT Black Wedge Flex) Putter: PXG Blackjack (Plumbers Neck) or Odyssey Eleven Stroke Lab (Center Shaft) Ball: MaxFli Tour X CG Fitted for all clubs from irons on up. MattWillGolf 2,498
My Ping G410 Crossover repair update. Ping returned my repaired club with an Align and because I said logo down the “Align” was up. They never mentioned it was an Align grip. This afternoon I ventured to my local Golf Galaxy to pick up a new grip. Side note, they had a excellent selection of MCC Plus 4 teams grips. I installed a gold/navy grip when I got home and it’s ready for tomorrow’s round. 9 Quote TaylorMade Supreme Hybrid Stand Bag Ping G400 Max 10.5° w/Ping Alta CB PXG 0341 3 wood 15° w/Project X Even Flow Blue Ping G30 19° 3 Hybrid w/Ping TFC 419H Ping G25 4 - UW w/Ping CFS Callaway Mack Daddy CB 54°/14° w/KBS 105 Hi-Rev 2.0 Callaway MD3 58°/9° W Grind w/True Temper Dynamic Gold Evnroll ER11v 34” Evnroll ER11v Official Review Snell MTB-Black or Maxfli Tour Mileseey PF210 Laser Rangefinder Clicgear 3.5+
Popular Post sirchunksalot 16,289
New irons are in the bag! I picked up a set of Mizuno JPX921 Forged irons from fellow forum member @rkj427. It's a set that runs 4-GW with Modus 105 R flex shafts and Golf Pride MCC+4 grips. I've had a fascination with Mizuno for a couple of years and I can say that they do not disappoint. I took a trip to Golf HQ last weekend to try them out before committing and they performed well for me. I saw some gains in distance and they were surprisingly forgiving for a players distance iron. They are gorgeous! The best part of the experience was the communication between Robert and I. I think that's something that gets overlooked in the BST thread, the personal interaction between members. I enjoyed talking about golf and life with him this past week and though we've never met, I am thankful to this forum for giving us a means to know each other better. There's rain in the forecast most of the week, so it'll be closer to the weekend before I get a chance to hit these beauties. I can't wait to get out and have some fun with them! 12
Syks7 1,067
Thanks to the budgeting app mint, my free wheeling golf spending days are done for a while. I fully agreed to it, there's a very large thing we're saving for down the road, but I think it was borderline better for me not to know what kind of cash got thrown into this bizarrely deep hole in the grass. It's a little bit insane how quickly all those buckets at the range add up... In an effort to claw back some of my golf budget from the range buckets I found this on facebook marketplace this morning. Works well, is easy to set up, and will be really good for contact drills. Now... how to fit a mevo+ into the budget..... PS: I am aware that my mat has seen better days. 7 Quote Driver: 2016 M2 -- Fujikara ventus red 3 Wood RBZ Stage 2 - Diamana Blue Board 2 Hybrid RBZ Stage 2 -- True Temper Elevate Tour (shares duty with 3I depending on the day) 699pro - 3I Driving Iron KBS Tour (shares duty with the 2 hybrid depending on the day) 699pro - 4I, 5I - 639CB 6/PW -- True Temper Elevate Elevate Tour RSI2 -- 4/PW- Nippon Modus 115 (Testing) Cleveland CBX2 48° & 54°-- TT Elevate Tour Hi Toe 58° -- TT Elevate Tour Innovai 6.0 CTR Ball: Zstar XV Divide
