What Have You Bought Lately? (CHA - Club Ho's Anonymous)

In what will likely be my largest purchase for some time, I've just signed to purchase space for a practice green, and according to my wife, we're also purchasing the house and rest of the property (but that's not nearly as interesting).

Has taken 5 months of searching, and of having having virtually no Saturdays free for that entire time, but the hunt is finally over. Now we just need to wait on settlement, and I can start some daily greenside chipping practice and hopefully start clawing my handicap back down closer to scratch again. 

Oh, and I've finally tracked down a replacement Nike Method putter grip for my Method Midnight 007 putter, have been looking for ages, and somehow found one in near perfect condition on a local buy sell group for $20 AUD earlier this week.

Not a golf-specific purchase, but the truck I ordered back in January finally arrived last Friday, and it's been every bit as good as I'd hoped.

@Josh Parker I have the t350 5 iron, with Nippon Modus3 stiff shaft & love the iron! 6i-PW are T200 irons.  The t350 iron is hot!  Enjoy yours! First take care of your shoulder! 

Wore the Footjoy Flex golf shoes for this morning's round.  Shoes were very comfortable.  I did use my own innersole inserts, PowerStep and shoes were good.  However, they were not completely waterproof.  Innersoles & bottom of my socks were wet.  But I'm wearing them again tomorrow morning if I play.

Seems like a very polarizing brand, but whether you love them or hate them, it's hard to deny they put out some really cool products. Bought two dozen Valhalla balls from Vice - the design is super cool, and it's the Pro Plus, which is best for me (used to settle for the Pro just for the limited design, but they seem to be doing more limiteds in Plus lately).

Something you dont see too often in USA is Yamaha clubs. I bought a yamaha 3 wood and it became my fav 3 wood knocking the exotics  out of my bag which has lasted 6 years in there... the longest time any club lasted in my bag. The Yamaha is just so effortless to hit. So I grabbed the driver to match after my recently purchased Exotics XJ1 weight flew off at some tee box. 

Some very impressive specs on this driver. The MOI is higher than the Ping 10k and damn near the limit at 5760 g cm2. Came with a new Diamana ZF50 stiff and arrived in 2 days from Golf Partner USA on ebay. Got a great deal on it as well. Have yet to hit it but eager to give it a go tomorrow. 

Edit: I love this driver. So forgiving and longer than the Ping G425. The sound and feel is top notch. 11/13 fairways first day trying.

My Cobra Forged Tec irons arrived today and I managed to get out after work for a couple of holes to give them a try. Have to say I’m loving them so far. They feel so good, lovely smooth strikes and a great flight on them. As promised for @sirchunksalot here’s a few photos

Just need to work out my distances with them now

Thanks for the photos and I'm glad you're liking them so far. They look so clean at address and in the bag. Hopefully it won't take you long to get a feel for their distances.

Those are sharp!  And for the price... can't beat it. How do they perform?

Thanks Josh. I couldn’t believe I got them at that price, just over 40% of what they’re listed as. So far they perform really well. Only played a couple of holes but they feel really good. You hit it sweet and it feels like you’ve hardly hit it, just so smooth!  I’m hoping to get out a couple of times over the next few days so will get a better idea on the performance then

My new shaft came yesterday a mitsubishi tensei av blue S flex. After extending it .750 and putting on my midsize grip I got to try it out today, all I can say is WOW. I didn't get a chance to get to the range so my first two drives were not good. I started out bogey, double, double, bogey. The last 5 holes, 4 pars and a birdie and I reached 18 a par 5 in 2 into the wind and 3 putted. I left my 8 foot birdie putt 1/2" short to shoot 41.

I bought one just like it but white 30 months ago. 68k miles and I have not even had a flat tire. (still original tires and they look good for 20k more). It’s time to think about trading it, and has been for months now, but his has just been perfect. Not a single complaint. Hope yours is as great as mine.

Got a pair of Sqairz Speed2 shoes in white and black off eBay for under $100 with tax and shipping when the retail price is roughly $154 plus tax and shipping. They are in brand new condition and they were comfortable as my several well-used pairs of the original Sqairz Speed shoes were even on the 1st wear on the course today.
