Well, I got bored and impatient and bought a new Srixon ZX 3 wood with the black smoke shaft... Unhit. I hope I like it.  I'm hoping to get another 20-30 yards

I received my quarterly Birdie Bundle today. It included a couple of really nice polos, a belt, a couple of Saintnine U-Pro balls and a ball marker.

I also went to Roger Dunn to see what I could blow some money on. But I didn’t find anything interesting.

Rain delay today and idle time in the pro shop are a bad thing. I bought the Srixon carry bag that they just released for the Open with my club’s logo on the ball pocket. My wife told me I didn’t need another bag and I said I will remember that when she wants another purse….I won this one.

An interesting day. We get paid on mondays and got a nice little surprise with my paycheck. Some extra cash is always nice. Used some to purchase an all black MySim2 head and the rest went into the joint account allowing me to keep the XC which has been good so far. 
 

Unfortunately karma sucks and by deciding to cheat on my st190 I almost broke my right thumb at work!  Hopefully that means I paid my price and can hit this thing a ton. I’d really like to see a more open face than the Mizzy but can’t really complain with the results.

Follow up to this one.  I have kept the shaft that came with it and it's working wonders for me now.  Most shots are straight, sometimes a slight fade.  But they are going where I want them. 

Really, really liking the feel of this driver now.

Doubt I will ever go back to steel in my irons. Such a worthwhile purchase, especially if you can get somewhere like TrueSpec to try a bunch of different options.

Was up in Wisconsin for vacation and make some cool purchases at Erin hills, polo and a quarter zip and another polo at whistling straits. Both top tier pro shops. It’s a good thing I was being budget conscious or else I could have gone way overboard

Finally purchased nippon pro shafts for the Sub70 heads

Stingers incoming!  Going to give the U505 a shot. Went with the 1 iron???  Same build as the T200 3- and 4-irons that have been treating me well -- Graphite Design Tour AD IZ-95X shaft. Goal was to swap out the 3w (really struggling with FW woods lately...). The T200 3i is 20°, and my options were 16° or 18° in U505, or 17° T200 - since it's a 3w replacement that's mostly going to be used off the tee anyway, 16° felt like the right play. 

 

 

Also picked up a handful of Golf Pride CPX grips -- my SuperSpeed grips started tearing up my hands, so wanted something soft for that, and just added a couple extra because I had some money left on a gift card. Used them for one session, and they are niiice, so I threw one on the U505 too. Maybe this will finally be the grip that gets me off the MCC (a few dollars cheaper than MCC too).

Did you have graphite in your wedges prior to the Edel test?

Yes, I had/have MMT 105TX wedge shafts in the Cobra MIMs. I really liked those shafts too, but the SteelFibers have a bit more feel for me and paired with the Hogans they are buttery.

Very little wrist, elbow or shoulder pain this season, and that's even with beating 500+ balls per week in the winter off of a FiberBuilt mat.
