Fair comments all Kenny.  🙂  The thing I love about the DF2.1 vs. my Scotty is that I have to manage the face a bit (I have a tendency to set up with a closed face, then work to "square" it back to my target line).  I also struggle with the proper "press'.  Both those things feel immediately natural with the LAB.  It sets up square when I put it down and I REALLY like the press grip.  I'm not kicking my Scotty out of bet for eating crackers by any means... but for a 50%+ discount on msrp... I've spent my money on worse things... haha.  Magic... yes, that is what I want 🙂

oh, and I have a few bottles in the fridge that are waiting for it's delivery too 😉

I guess I'm curious why you set up your Scotty with a closed face.  Were you fit for it?  Does that happen with all putters at PGASS?

Fit for my Special Select 2.5, yes.  Jet Set... no.  Plumbers necks set up closed for me... I am sure it is a faulty Tim opposed to anything else... but I do fight it.  The slant necks are much better from a setup standpoint.  I have a TwoBall Ten slant that sets up open to me.  😐

A lot. Let's just say that a recent bonus and a full day of time to kill before my flight this evening were not a good combination. Will be waiting a bit to get the new sticks, but the fitting had a few aspects that were both expected and surprising. If these clubs last as long as my current set, then I will be set for all clubs until 2037.

Ordered and received a PXG Bat Attack Battle Ready Putter.

I've had my Spider putter since the beginning in 2008 and I haven't looked back.  I'm just finding it a bit too heavy for me these days and wanted to try something a little different, but still face balanced and such.

Had it for one round and I like it.  But next year I will really get into it and sort it out proper.

Was in Plano (Dallas) for my birthday and went to the PGA Superstore.  Picked up a couple of pair of performance slacks for fall/winter golf.  Wife gave me 2 dozen Snell MTBX balls for the b'day.  And I had just picked up 2 dozen Maxfli Tour balls.  With the 3 or 4 dozen Maxfli, Snell, and ProV1 balls at the house, I'm set for a few rounds 🙂

Depends!  But, they are a lot cooler than khakis or chinos 🙂 I think "performance" is the buzzword for polyester blends.

Oh sure...hit me with that "under par" requirement! 73 is my career best 😄 but now that I'm 71, I'm thinking about shooting my age  😄  I guess I could mention aces, but.... (grin)
