Got into the queue early got into the purchase area three minutes after it opened, added 1 gallery ticket for each day to my cart, saw the price, hesitated, thought why not, clicked the get tickets button... and they were already all gone. . The good news here is that I now own a Garmin R10 courtesy at a very fair price from another Spy (the real reason I'm posting) and I can drown my sorrows using my 30 day free trial of Home Tee Hero to play LACC north. I'm expecting it to be significantly easier than the one time I got to play the real because I'm not going to have to actually putt on the sheets of glass they call putting greens. The other, and considerably more important, plus side is that I don't have to explain to my lovely wife why spending $1,200 on tickets to the US open was a worthwhile decision. Grounds passes were $320 for Sat/Sun and $280 for Thurs/Friday. I think the golf gods may have spared me today. Was in the order room for US tix as well - had no idea the prices for Sat/Sun, and hesitated just long enough for them to evaporate. I'm sure it would have been incredible to be there, but...$300/ticket felt like way more than the wife would smile knowingly about. archship
I found this Odyssey Putter at a yard sale for $5 this summer. It has a few nicks here and there, but all it really needed was a new grip. A quick trip to Golf Galaxy later and I had a nice little putter for my new Sunday bag. My question is... What model is it? It is bronze, has the black Stronomic insert, the bottom is completely smooth, and there is no other information on it other than the manufacturer logo and name. After looking at dozens of old Odyssey's online, I've concluded it must be an early Dual Force, but I can't figure out which one. Does anyone on here know? Thanks. 4 Quote Live in the now while planning for the next.

GolfSpy_APH
So after my original order of shafts came damaged I went through and waited to find something that I wanted again and found a good combo. For the 3 wood (Cobras) I ordered a Fujikura Motore X F3 (So happy to find this) was $45! Driver (Titleist) KURO KAGE Black 50 Driver Shaft / Regular Flex for the Otto Phlex Challenge Fujikura Speeder Pro 74 Driver Shaft / Stiff Flex for what will likely be the gamer as I do prefer something that is more CB like and this fits the bill although it is a touch heavier. A TS3 head because well I could and at least I have another head for one of those shafts. Womens set for Lys! Full kit for $40 as its used but in great condition so happy there. Now the wait and hope that it all comes in one piece. 6 Quote as of Oct 31, 2022 (Past WITB) Driver: TBD: Follow here: Driver Shootout! GolfSpy_BNG
Been quite a while since I have posted in this thread but it is nice to see @GolfSpy_APH picked up my slack lol. I was planning on actually hitting some drivers(tsr2/3, Ping g430 lst) before buying this time but came across a great deal on an 8* tsr3 head and didn’t wanna miss out. I guess this may make it easier to compare as I can take it to the Trackman nearby to get actual numbers before going to a bigger store so there is that. 5 Quote What is in my Sun Mountain C-130 bag Driver: G430 LST 9*(set at big minus) with a BGT Brava X shaft @ 45.25” Fairway: F85 3 wood with a XPhplexx Agera X @ 42.5” F85 5 wood with a UST Elements Chrome 7F5 @ 41.5" Driving Iron: Rapture 2-Iron Irons: ZX5 4-PW with Modus 105S Wedge: Zipcore 50* bent to 48* Putter: SIK Jo slant neck @ 33”
cnosil
Bought a jumbomax ultralight grip in size small today to see if their claims of more distance and better accuracy are true. It is definitely bigger than my normal grip and even a jumbo grip but doesn't feel too bad. Size was based on the fitting recommendation on the Jumbomax site. ED13
I had a wedge fitting this past Thursday at TXG. The Ping Glide 2 wedges I had been using had too much bounce for my sweeping swing. Had been practicing with 10 year old Vokey wedges prior to the fitting (52, 56 60, 64). Hit my current wedges for baseline numbers. Hit a couple of Vokey wedges which were much better than the old models. Then tried Taylormade MG3s. The bit of edge relief on the MG3s made a huge difference for my swing. Never hit better wedges before. Consistency for me was much better than the SM9s. Ordered MG3 in 50-9, 54-11, 58-8. Also ordered SM9 60-4 L grind bent to 62 for short sided flop shots as well as when the fairways dry out in July and August. SM9 will be the same length as the MG3 58. 5 Quote Driver - Ping G410 Woods - Callaway Rogue 5 wood Hybrid - Titleist TS2 21 degree Irons - Taylormade P790 5-PW Wedges - Taylormade MG3 50, 54, 58, SM9 60 Putter - Mizuno Black Carbon BC3

Already installed on my G400 Max and ready for my round tomorrow. Ran across the jumbomax thread a few days ago and really intrigued after looking at their site. About 2 months ago I was at the range with tWife who bought ST Max driver and clubs. I tried her driver and loved it, including her Winn oversized wrap grip. I needed a new grip so I got the same on my driver. I’ve been working on increasing my back swing rotation and I know that has helped increase my distance (~15 yds), but I’m starting to believe some of that is from the grip. So I may try the jumbomax and I’m somewhere between a small and x-small. Ive often struggled keeping the grip in the fingers of my LH resulting in sliding into the palm. The oversized keeps it from doing that. 5 Quote Driver: Fusion, 9 deg, UST Recoil 450 ES F3 : Rescue 3 & 4, Aldila Reax 65 S : G15 5i -SW, AMT S Iron A Nelson: 58 deg, LB : Putter, 2i B60 : Q-Star Tour
