Finally replaced my Taylormade M5 10.5 with a........Taylormade M5 10.5. I cant get away from this driver, easily the best thing thats been in my bag and I have tried the newer equipment but the sweet pop of the M5 keeps me coming back.

I finally broke down and purchased my first hybrid. Since the Callaway Apex Pro is down to $150 brand new, I went ahead and purchased the 2H and 3H. I am a big fan of mid sized grips so I immediately re-gripped win Winn Dritac 2.0 midsize. Can't wait to hit this club on Friday!

My current Purdue cart bag has a nice lean to it now, likely due to it's less than strong structural construction. So I decided to go on the hunt for a second bag to have as well. I wanted something a bit more patriotic and I am in the process of building a set of clubs with red/white/blue ferrules and grips. So that was my mission.

Mission accomplished. I found a 2019 Sun Mountain C-130 in the R/W/B theme on sale from Carl's Golf Land and it just arrived.

Additionally, I'm trying the Sub70 demo program with a 949x #4H, 699u/699 combo set #5u and #9i, all regular flex. Had some great luck with a rental set of regular flex clubs while on vacation. Trying to decide how I feel about hybrids vs irons and less of a super game improvement/starter iron.

I had too much time to kill at PGA superstore while my wife was with daughter picking out wedding dresses!    I hit the Tour Edge C722 hybrid and E722 hybrid.    C722 in 21 degree.   E722 in 19 degree.

 

I hit thirty plus balls with each.   C is much more demanding, yet came out on top.    C had the KBS 80 shaft.   E had the stock Ventus blue.    I am looking forward to putting into the bag this weekend for a few rounds to see how it fits into play.

They are local to me, and for the price they had that bag at when comparing it to the newer models which were $110.00 more it was a GREAT DEAL.

That's exactly why I bought it. I was shocked at the price for a new C-130 in the RWB color scheme, regardless of its model year.

Had a couple of gloves finally give out on me so I ordered a few more. Mesh backed with palm trees for the hot days and red leather for when the temperatures start to drop this fall.

New stand bag. Cobra Ultralite. Had to use some pro shop credit. $70 out of pocket. Really happy with the colour. Won’t be getting a lot of use, mainly on holidays to fit in the car more easily.

I have the 50* in Satin and absolutely love it. One of the best wedges I have and my confidence with it has grown by leaps and bounds. The black looks awesome too! Enjoy!

I just picked up 3 Titleist wedges 50,54,58 degree for $100.  Had been looking for a 50 but the deal was too good to pass up. 54 has a little wear but I already have a 54 in great shape.

PXG 0311p 5-G with mitsubishi mmt graphite shafts 

So it seems that the 0311p shafts weren't right for me. Loved the heads but reshafting would have been an extra 100, at least.
So - I had one more exchange I could make and found what seemed to be a diamond in the rough.
I was demoing these XXIO X (4-G) and then going to some other clubs - Mizuno, Cobra, TM, etc. - but kept coming back to these because the weight just felt ...right...

I couldn't figure it out but after some research found out that the clubs are counterbalanced! That's what the special "made for" grips and shafts are all about.

I had a bunch of extra $ leftover when I swapped the PXG so I found a mint condition Ping G 3w and TE hybrid for 99 each. I'm not sure either of these have seen a course. My set came with a 4i so I can swap the TE and that out depending on conditions.

  

I was particularly impressed with the Ping G - even mishits weren't punished and the ball was relatively straight.
Looking forward to getting these out on the course!
