revkev
That's pretty cool - I've never hit a Cobra driver that I've liked but it's still pretty cool. I have bagged Cobra fairways/hybrids and irons and done well with them - just the driver - just always seem to launch too high with too much spin for me. Bogey in The Woods
Hit one at Golfsmith today. Can only assume that the stock shaft that was on it was dead. Just didnt feel like there was any pop off the tee. Tried to find a different one, but they seemed to be very popular in all the bays. The normal guy who fits me for clubs was swamped with people, and my pregnant wife informed me that the baby(in other words her) needed food now! Did hit several with the fairway wood and really liked the feel. Noticed my clubhead speed was about 5 miles faster than my normal. Don't know if it was fluke or not. Am playing tomorrow, weather permitting, so will go back this coming week for a more thorough session. RookieBlue7
I tried the Fly Z plus yesterday. The stock shaft at X flex is weak to flex, or was in the one I hit. It's also very left side biased for me(every ball went left of the target), with the stocker of course. I liked the head at address and it felt good at impact ( even though the sound at impact was different than we may all be used to). I have a feeling it has a lot of potential if it had a little hotmelt to quiet it down and a stiffer shaft. I had to let off a lot to keep it under control.
