Undershooter
Holy freaking crap I'm in for this one! I will edit this with the requested info as soon as I can get to my computer. I've been searching for the closest places demo them and it isn't close the last I looked. lol Edit: I had to do some slight tweaking to the hogan fit results because they had me in a few things that would fit my yardage gaps or swing very well. They had me some shafts that were nowhere near what I needed but that is probably because they didn't have my current gamer listed. I switched from KBS tour V X to DG X100 because they don't have my DG X7s listed. Also adjusted a few of the lofts to complete my bag a little better. Overall I thought it was a decent job other than the shaft guess. They need to figure out a way to better fit people into their shaft options but that is my only gripe. Obviously Hogan would prefer the person to be professionally fit into their clubs though. Shaft: DG X100 Length: standard Lie: standard Grip: GP NDMCC black/white 60 round Grip Size: standard Handicap: 3.5 To me the Hogan name means history, excellence and a constant pursuit of perfection regarding all things golf. Mr. Hogan's swing and ball striking was the personification of this. Later it bled over into his work on equipment. When I found out that SCOR was taking over the Hogan name, the first thought that came to my mind was that it was a perfect fit. SCOR has a great reputation and makes a quality product. Later when I saw the Ft Worth 15 irons and TK wedges I knew they had succeeded in bringing us a classic looking club with all of the technology to make sure that it was for more than just the plus handicapper. To me, Mr Hogan would be proud of the resurgence of his brand and its newest product. RoverRick
I really have been waiting on this for quite a while and have studied the Hogan Fit and mapped "my dream bag" for several month. I even bought some Scor Wedges to put in the bag and test it out. I can't say that initially, I was on board with the Scor Fit/now Hogan Fit. But after some experimentation and practice, I am fully on board now. I will never be the greatest driver of the ball in terms of distance, but I can hit it straight with a reasonable distance. I can be a great iron player. To me the Scor Wedges are more like irons than wedges. I was an excellent wedge player and putter, good enough so that alone have allowed me to compete in the under 5 handicap at my club championship for the past couple of years, while actually hitting very few GIR. However, inside 70 yards I got up and down in two at a phenomenal rate. The transition to the Scor initially reeked havoc on my game. However, I have modified my wedge swing and last weekend played to a lower than 5 handicap level. These wedges have produced a better iron/wedge swing. Last weekend, I hit 90% of the par 3 greens in regulation. This is a huge improvement. While I didn't make many birdie putts, the fact that I was having a birdie putt on most par 3's was huge. As far as what the Hogan name has meant to me over the years, Hogan equals the quality and innovation for the better player. The best irons I ever owned were Hogan FTX. I played them for years, and then stupidly traded them for Hogan CFT's with the Hybrids. The Hybrids still find their way into the bag occasionally, but these irons were not as good for my swing as the FTX. I would love the opportunity to game this set of irons where there is more of a seamless transition from wedge to irons. Kenny B
WOW! What can I say, but Will Do! HCP 9.6 Ben Hogan has always been a name associated with class and perfection. With Terry Koehler running Ben Hogan Golf, that will continue. The SCOR wedges that he produced are simply wonderful. I can only think that the Ft. Worth 15 irons and TK 15 wedges will be exceptional. I will certainly provide a quality review and to do these clubs justice photo-wise, I will drag my wife, who is a professional photographer, out to the course. (Actually, I don't have to drag her out there because she is an 18 HCP and plays as much as I do!!) Went through the HoganFit a couple of times. The first time was a couple of months ago, and the results were close but didn't really capture the SCORs that I had and the results wanted to change my lofts by one degree. Not sure why. This time, the results matched my SCOR specs from 42-58 but I had entered 2* flat for my Ping i20s and +1 for length, and the results came back standard for both length and lie. ?? I changed those in my profile. I also changed the recommended shaft from the Recoil 660 to the Recoil 95 F3 because my SCORs have the Genuis 9 graphite shafts and I believe that the Recoil 660 might be too light. The SCORs are perfect!! However, I would be willing to try the 660 if that is the only option. Thanks for the opportunity. 1 “We don’t stop playing the game because we get old; we get old because we stop playing the game.”

Baseballfrk8998
HoganFit Results: See screenshots below! Handicap: 9 What Hogan means to me: When I think Hogan, I think of the best ball striker of all time. When I think of Hogan irons, I think of the best possible irons on the market, irons that would suit the best ball striker on the planet in every possible way. Should I be fortunate enough to be picked for this, I'll be able to test these clubs thoroughly and will report back often and with significant feedback/pictures. Because taking pictures is another hobby of mine (as noted by my WITB thread), all pictures that I do take will be top notch! I play at least once per week, if not several times depending on work/weather. HoganFit Results:
franks62591
This is the most amazing contest of all time! HoganFit Results: See attached image below!Handicap: 2.7What Hogan means to me: Hogan, to me, means the start of my golfing journey! The very first set of irons I ever owned were some Ben Hogan Edge CFTs. I thought they were the greatest things in the world! They were a gift from my Father and they are clubs I still have today. I used them for all four years of high school golf and they served me very well. Every time I think of Ben Hogan I think of those irons along with the black ferrules with 2 red stripes....ICONIC If I were to be chosen for this contest I would be ecstatic! I play at least 2-3 times per week and during weekdays I often put in hours at the range and chipping green (my short game is not up to par unfortunately). I would be happy to write reviews/updates after every range session/round. I am a solid ball striker for the most part. For this reason I feel I can provide accurate feedback as to the feel and forgiveness of these blades. I do play a cavity back iron but I would love to play some blades and improve my game even more. *Regarding screenshot - Recoil shafts definitely not a deal breaker for me. I play Steelfiber currently so I simply chose something similar. My go-to steel shaft is Project X 6.0

Still today Mr. Hogan's swing is identified as perhaps the best in the history of the game. The best full set of irons I owned was a set of Apex IIs, both woods (yes persimmon and irons which I still own and swing occasionally. I also still consult his book Five Lessons: The Modern Fundamental of Golf when I have an issue with my swing. I have played golf for over 50 years. While I am not as competitive as I once was, I still have a passion for the game and an opinion when asked. It would be my honor to provide feedback to the Ben Hogan Golf Equipment Company. I find the gap analysis interesting. I have long thought that I had this issue. I'd love to put it to the test. GrandiloquentGolf
Handicap: 18-22 What Hogan means to me: A while back, I had an idea of a golf company that would focus strictly on lofts to customize a player's needs. Except one aspect of it that I wanted the most was to carry a sunday bag with at maximum, eight to nine clubs. My lineup would've been a 3 wood, a hybrid, 3 irons, 2 wedges, and a putter. Utilizing a lofts-only system shrinks the distance gaps and makes for a better quick game of golf as it would improve accuracy and GIR in my opinion if there were less over and under hits.Hogan is doing what I want and I am more than estatic to try their products as I have wanted to try a loft only system. I want to see if my intuition is correct. I play at least twice a week and have unlimited usage at a range as well as a six hole short game course as part of this membership I have, so I guess I play a lot of golf! BGoergen
Handicap is 3.8 Hogan is excellence. His Apex line of irons in my early golf days is still in my opinion the best set of forged irons made. Classic looks and butter feel. Hogan brand is not a "puppy mill" of golf clubs, they put out great stuff when they create it but they don't relabel stuff just to make a quick buck. I always respected that about their brand. Glad to see them back. RookieBlue7
Your HoganFit results, via a screenshot or written out, and tell us a little about your HoganFit experience The experience was eye opening for me. I thought my set was optimized for me but their hoganfit process said that my gaping was totally wrong and that my set could be optimized much further. I was under the impression from my results that my set was for pretty well for me. Their process suggests much different. First, they suggest the KBS Tour-V for me in X flex and I currently play Dynamic Gold Tour Issue S400. That's a much higher launching shaft in my experience. They also recommended replacing one my hybrids with an iron. Which was also surprising as that hybrid is one of my favorite clubs in my bag and I hit it very well. Prescription: Their standard length. The following clubs in the FW-15: 21, 25, 29, 33, 37, 41, 45 The grip recommendation was standard size (I've played midsize for a long time and it's what I was fit for). The length gaping was also surprising to me, at 0.75" gaps vs the 0.5" I've played for a long time now. Wedges (TK-15): 49, 53, 58, 63 Length gaps there again surprising, starting with a 35.5" length, the middle two at 35.25", and 35" for the 63. I've always played my wedges at 35.5". This all is just surprising and potentially very eye opening. Your handicap 9.7 at last update (been playing and scoring well lately) What the Hogan name means to you To me, the Hogan name is synonymous with the pursuit of perfection. Mr. Hogan persevered through everything, from his crash to his winning before and after and the pursuit of greatness. And he did it all without complaint and had one of the most technically proficient swings ever, with a secret no one has solved. The HoganFit process was a lot of fun and a bit eye opening. It made me realize I only currently have 6 clubs for 80% of my approach shots and they have adjusted that to 8 which could make a big difference in precision to the pin. I would love to have the opportunity to test these--I have been trying out some new irons as I am well overdue for a new set and would have the time to give thorough feedback for all of these clubs. LaCrackson
HoganFit Results: See attached image below!Handicap: 10What Hogan means to me: Hogan is the gold standard when thinking of golf. Though I've only played for 2 years. I feel like my game can be taken to the next level. I learned how to play borrowing a friend's fathers clubs (they were blades and very tough to play, he was a pro). These look like they should be the clubs I've learned to love. slammy01
I would be honored to be considered as a tester for this contest and feel I would provide a detailed and informative review of the clubs. Hogan Fit Prescription: See Dropbox link Handicap: No official handicap, unofficial 7-9 depending on calculator and courses I frequent What Hogan Means to me: For me, Hogan clubs will always be associated with quality irons. I can't separate the image of Hogan clubs from the image of the Ben Hogan himself grinding away for hours on the practice tee trying to dig up the secrets of golf in dirt. I practice at the course 2-3 times a week with approximately 18-27 holes thrown in of actual play now that the weather is improving here in northern Florida. I think I'll have a good basis for comparison as I've been gaming a set of MP-60's for about 4 years. I recently made the transition to SCOR golf wedges and am excited to see how the v-sole carries over into the other irons. http://www.dropbox.com/s/rvq6fvnqiwvz7y1/Capture.JPG?dl=0 In my Bag Driver- Taylormade RBZ 10.5 w/ Matrix Black Tie Stiff 3 Wood- Taylormade R11s 15 w/ Matore Speeder 7.3 Stiff Hybrids- Adams Super LS 19 w/ Kuro Kage Stiff Adams Super 9031 23 w/ Diamana D+ Stiff Irons- Mizuno MP-60 5-9 w/ TT Black Gold Stiff Wedges- Scor 48,51,55,59 KBS Genius Stiff Putter- Rife Aussie Ball- ProV1x
