Thank you all for the well wishes.  My mom is 86 and is having a couple of tumors removed.  Nothing serious; not cancerous.  Same day in and out surgery with no anesthetic, so that's good.

 

I hope that we can do another outing someday.  It's just a non-stop flight to MSP so getting there is no problem.  Have fun you guys!

Okay -- this is official!  A Minneapolis MGS Get Together on the weekend of July 24-26!  

 

Troy Burne in Hudson, WI on the 25th, TBD on the 26th (Meadows at Mystic Lake, The Wilds, Stonebrooke, Deer Run, Crystal Lake all options, depending on budget and timing).

 

Twin Cities Golf is hosting a scramble tourney at Troy Burne on the 25th.  We could play in that or just play on our own.

 

So Zinger, wbealSD and myself are in...who else?????

Well, since I can't be there...

 

Ole & Sven working at Minneapolis airport

 

Ole and Sven were drinking buddies who worked as aircraft mechanics in Minneapolis and one day the airport was fogged in and they were stuck in the hangar with nothing to do.

 

Ole said, "I vish ve had somethin ta drink!"

Sven says,  "Me too. Y'know, I hear ya can drink dat jet fuel and get a buzz.  Ya vanna try it?"

 

So they pour themselves a couple of glasses of high octane hooch and got completely smashed.

Next morning Ole woke up and is surprised at how good he feels.  In fact he feels GREAT!  No hangover!  NO bad side effects.  Nothing!

The phone rang.  It was Sven who asks,  "How iss you feelin dis mornin?"

 

Ole says,  "I feel great.  How bout you?"

Sven says,  "I feel great too.  Ya don't have no hangover?"

Ole says,  No, dat jet fuel iss great stuff - no hangover, nothin.  Ve oughta do dis more often."

 

Sven agreed.  "Yeah, vell, but dere's yust vun ting."

Ole asked,  "Vat's dat?"

Sven questioned,  "Haff you farted yet?"

 

Ole stopped to think.  "No"

Sven said,  "Vell, DON'T, 'cause I'm in Iowa.

Okay - so this is happening.  SpyZinger, wbealsd, n8ball and myself will be teeing it up this Saturday at Troy Burne in Hudson, WI.  We'll be playing in the TwinCitiesGolf.com 2 man best ball tourney.  My guess is we'll be tweeting up a storm as well as doing some live broadcasting on Periscope.

Have fun boys, wish I could join you!  I'm leaving for Duluth today for the Arrowhead Invitational.  We've got 10 guys going up and rented a cabin.  5 days of golf and drinking with no kids or wives.  What could go wrong?

I'm fine with trying Northfork like hckymeyer suggested or Logger's trail is a good one. What other suggestions do we have?

How about Northfork on Saturday and either Loggers or the new Dakota Pines in Hastings on Sunday?  I have some passes for Dakota Pines good for Sunday after noontime.

I'd be in for Sat at Northfork. Most likely out for Sun. Gotta try and keep the wife happy and golfing both days of the weekend is not in my best interest
