L.I. Rich
My 2 cents: I received mine late in '15, and the only issue I had was it seemed to chew through batteries quickly, but after changing the bag pocket I stored it in, the battery life improved. I can only guess that the bag storage room at the golf club gets pretty cozy (!). Having used the more expensive lrf's, I am satisfied with my purchase.
In my bag: Ping G LS Tec 9* Tour 65 Stiff, Cobra F8 3-4 wood HZRDUS Yellow 6.0, Calloway 21* X Forged Utility iron (steel stiff), Ping G30 white dot 4-9 Stiff 110 gm KBS tours Scor 48,52,56,60 Wedges, Nike Method Core MC3

PlaidJacket
Good news. In an earlier post I stated; my M400 LRF went out a couple of weeks ago. It was showing funky readings, etc. Anyway, I sent it back to MG Golf about a week ago and today they sent me brand new one. No questions asked. My old one was purchased in July 2015. Hopefully this one will work for many years to come. Hats off to MG Golf. Thanks. PlaidJacket
Sadly I may be at the end of my rope with the M400 LRF from MG Golf. I'm now on my second one since first purchasing back in July 2015. The MG400 is a good* basic LRF. Nothing fancy. My first one lasted a little over a year when the display went haywire. I called MG Golf - returned it- and got a new one sent to me ASAP with no questions asked. Now my replacement has had the rotating focus ring come off. I can push it back on but it's difficult to dial-in a good focus. So.. it's kind of worthless. I'll call them and return it soon. Now, let me say this. MG Golf is a standup company and sells many good products IMO. Most notably their gloves, balls, and shirts. Top quality are these products and great prices. * the M400 LRF works great at a low cost. Quality/build apparently is an issue. For that reason I'm not going to recommend this particular model any longer. UPDATE TODAY: I have just spoken with MG Golf customer service and they have discontinued the M400 model. They are sending me ASAP one of the last remaining models they have left in stock - no questions asked. I'll return my defective one in the next few days. My Sun Mountain bag currently includes: 771CSI 5i - PW and PFC Micro Tour-c 52°, 56°, 60 wedges EXS 10.5*, 929-HS FW4 16.5* Willimette w/GolfPride Contour
chemclub
M400 currently $105 on close out price. Looks like MG is going to carry a range finder - GPS combo https://www.mggolf.com/gps-rangefinders/ This always seemed like a no brainer to me and would be a definite purchase for me once my current bushnell finder stops working (I use a Neo as a GPS). Never understood why more companies don't combine the two given the small size of current GPS. Either way, could be an interesting purchase Bag: Bennington Quiet Organizer 9-Lite (link) Cart: 3.5+ Driver: F9 speedback, Accra iWood Woods: Sonartec GS Tour 14*, Fujikura Six S DI: T-MB 2 iron, KBS Tour-V 120 X, Irons: PP-9003SN 4-GW, Nippon 1150GH Stiff Wedges: 1957 K-grind SW, LW, Nippon 1150GH Stiff Putter: EXO Indianapolis (link) Ball: MTB
fozcycle
I sent them an email stating that the LCD numbers were losing their image making it difficult to tell if the number was a 3, 5 , 6, whatever. They sent me a replacement right away. No probs with the replacement....same model M400. Sent from my iPad using MyGolfSpy Driver: 0311 XF 10.5* w/Project X Cypher 40 gram Senior shaft or 0811 XF 12* w/Evenflo Riptide CB Senior shaft Fairways: 0211 5W & 7W w/ Evenflo Riptide CB regular shaft and Tour Edge E521 9W w/Fubuki HD50 regular shaft Hybrid: None in bag at the moment Irons: Titleist T300 5-PW w/Fubuki MV Senior graphite shafts w/Golf Pride Tour Wedges: Edison forged 49*, 53* and 57* wedges with KB PGI Senior shafts(80 grm). PlaidJacket
I had the same issue too a few months back Foz. Same deal... sent me a new one. But this time it was the focus ring/adjustment. I'm guessing they have been having too many issues with the product. Therefore they've discontinued it. Hopefully their newer models will be better quality. I'm still an MG man. They're a standup company. EDIT: This new one - replacement they're sending me will probably be my last. I've been thinking that after this latest one craps out I'll go with a higher end Bushnell model or something. fozcycle
Using the replacement M400 this week. I have noticed that the display is quite a bit more sensitive than the first one. But, I can read the numbers.
