GolfSpy Barbajo
TESTERS WANTED!! - APPLY NOW!!! We're hitting the sweet spot of summer - are you hitting the ball as far as you'd like? Do you think a different shaft would make a difference? Well, that's what we at MGS would like to know, and we'd like 9 MGS loyalists to help us find out. And specifically we'd like to know if a new ACCRA Fx Series shaft will give you a few extra yards while keeping the ball in the short grass. The FX Series is new this year, and features 3 different types of shaft for 3 different types of player. Here's the skinny, according to ACCRA: Fx 100: Promotes higher initial launch with controlled spin. For those wanting to increase launch angle with a super light-weight shaft. Fx 200: Promotes mid initial launch with controlled spin. For those need some tip stability, but with a kick. Fx 300: Promotes lower initial launch with controlled spin. For those needing more tip stability, but also with a kick. (We will NOT be testing the Fx 400 shaft at this time) HOW TO ENTER: 1. You MUST be an MGS Forum Member to apply. If you aren't, sign up HERE. 2. List your current driver shaft, flex and swing speed. 3. You MUST post a picture of your current driver shaft! 4. You MUST be able to install your own shaft, or have it done for you. No adapters are included. 5. Open to avid golfers in the Continental US and Canada! Based on your information, we'll work with ACCRA to get you into one of the three Fx Series shafts. We'll announce the selected testers the week of July 20th. For more information, check out the ACCRA website. Good luck!! evershady
I currently play a Grafalloy Bi-matrix 80 Gram X-flex in a Ping Anser 8.5 Swing speed of 125+ I tend to still hit my drives very high even when I set the driver to 8 which is where I normally have it, would like a lower ball flight. apprenti23
Very cool opportunity! Thanks Accra and MGS! Haven't had an Accra shaft in many years, last one was an SE80 (I believe) so however many years that was! Current driver is a Ping G30 LS Tec 9* (-1* setting) with the Ping Tour 65 X-Stiff shaft. In flip flops at the PGASS I was at 118 mph so you can put me in the 115-120 range as well. I have multiple G30 adapters that I could install an Accra shaft in. ALisowski
My current driver is a Callaway Razr Fit in 8.5 at stock settings. The current Shaft is the Graphite Design Tour AD DI-6 S. My average driver swing speed is 115 mp/h. There is a full repair shop at the club where I work and I do all of the club work. Have tried ACCRA shafts in the past and enjoyed them, would love the opportunity to try them again. Thanks
joshea32
Current Driver Shaft: Graphite Design YS-SIX Reloaded X 45" Swing Speed: 98-106mph I do my own club work and have an extra sleeve ready to test in my Fly-Z driver. For fitting purposes, I'm usually torn between an S and X flex UST shaft. I still play a UST Proforce 65 Stiff in my Callaway Hawkeye 2 wood (the original ti/tungsten mini driver) which has not been out done in well over a decade. Loved the UST V2 MOI X shaft I had in my previous driver (Weight 73g, Torq 3.2, Butt Stiffness 300, Mid Stiffness 8.5, Tip Stiffness 30). For better or worse, I play an over the top pull and can describe my swing in more detail but I don't want to scare people away from the site.
