There are 2 fumbles the officials have botched in the Tax Slayer bowl. Officiating is so broken in pro and college football that its stupid. The announcers aren't even making a big deal of it either. Jeez

My Canes get a home bowl tonight against Wisconsin. A month ago, this was a potential playoff matchup and now they're just playing for a new library or another parking lot.

I'm just thankful this is still a game worth watching. CFB games end in boat races way too often for my taste.

 

Side Note: The commentary is atrocious and that "field goal target line" gets on my nerves. You don't need that until the end of the game when a field goal will tie/win. A field goal is never the "target"

Shoulda seen the reasons he was so mad. The right tackle was holding on basically every 3rd down or obvious passing play. Blatant holding a lot of time. And he kept getting away with it.

I saw the one replay but didn't realize it was repetitive. Miami blew that game anyway. They can be as mad as they want at that kicker for the shtoink but they should've punched it in the end zone from that close. That's what Wisconsin did and that's why they won.

 

Looking forward to the playoff games over the next 2 days though. Should be some thrilling stuff.

I said earlier from one of the other games that the officiating was bad, it has t gotten much better in a lot of these games, there were plays on both sides that were pretty obvious, and there was no call, then you look at other games like northwestern and Kentucky, a great game that was missing some great players because of really questionable calls, or the late hit on the Penn state QB that was clearly a late hit, and upon replay showed it was pretty obvious targeting. The officials have been anything g but good in these bowl games. Hopefully they will be better for the higher stakes games.

I have been pretty happy with a lot of he bowl games as far as competitiveness. There have been some really solid games this year. Now that we are getting into the ranked teams, that's what I like seeing, a lot of games that are close as they get late in the game. Fun to watch, and when you dont have a dog in the fight it's iust nice to watch good close games.

 

The horrible big ten is 7-0 by the way.

I'm happy the big 10 is doing so well it will help out next year. The SEC is having a horrible bowl season. I hate seeing the refs have such a big role in these games good or bad.

Yes, the refs have been atrocious. It's mostly the lack of make easy calls.
