You have to admit, he makes it so easy!  But you're right, plenty of terrible human beings in sports to kick besides Urban.

I'm hardly hating but it explains why he announced his retirement when he did as opposed to after the bowl game.

Well looks Justin Fields is looking to transfer from Georgia. Interested to see where he goes. Hopefully not another SEC school.

Arkansas is looking for a QB, as is Auburn. Miss State has a viable option in waiting but could be a good place to go as well. If I were fields, I'd consider Auburn or MSU if he stays in the SEC.

I'm not hugely familiar with his original recruitment but I know that Auburn, Alabama and FSU were involved. I'd venture to guess that Bama is out of the equation with their current QB situation.

My guess would be Oklahoma if anything. They'll want/ need  someone to keep up the high power offense unless Murray decides to stay another year.

I could see that being a solid option. I think Murray has to hang up the pads after this year. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I think his deal with the Athletics was that he got 1 year to see what he could do in college football and that he had to play baseball full time after that.

Yea Murray is done. The Athletics have a ton invested in him and he's not playing another down on the football field...at least according to his contract. 

I don't think Fields would transfer inside the SEC since that would require a 2 year wait period. He didn't redshirt this year so he would still have to wait a year to play out of conference unless the NCAA grants him a waiver. 

I'd be curious to see if Hurts transfers to the Big 10 or Big 12 since he graduated and considered a free agent.

They are giving out those hardship waivers pretty easily these days. OSU, OU and FSU were his reported list with OSU being the lead as of now. I could see him fitting well in that offense as well as OU's.

The A's organization already considers Murray to be their top prospect.  Most prospect services consider him a top 5 prospect in the A's organization but they aren't the ones investing in him.  I prefer to listen to the organization over the publications.  I hope he takes Bo Jackson's draft-day advice and sticks to baseball.

Do I detect a hint of sarcasm in the fact that Ohio State would let someone with questionable (at best) character teach a "Character and Leadership" class?

Hopefully my own sarcasm resonates with this post.  Whats next, UNC allowing former coaches to teach "Ethics" classes?

I just heard that Louisville is bringing back Patrino to do a driver's ed class and USC is getting OJ to teach a criminal justice class.

Someone might should call Zach Smith for a Women's studies class why they're at it.

Maybe Urban can lead the entire athletic department by example. He’s done such a wonderful job with their football program as well as that of Florida.

If there’s any justice left in the NCAA, other AD’s outside the BIG10 will refuse to schedule Ohio State.

Well, $$$ will almost certainly prevent that from happening.  While i don't condone his actions (or in-actions), I don't fall into the Urban Meyers bashing group.  Urban is just one among many examples of how money has influenced, mostly negatively IMO, college football.  To be sure, a good many of his colleagues (current and retired) have just been lucky enough not to get caught.  Still, I absolutely love watching college football and really hope it can keep from becoming a game I lose interest in - NFL, NBA, and MLB, in that order.  All that said, I'm still trying to figure out why Ohio State would make such a decision.

Just my opinion here but, it could be Auburn, like many other SEC schools are getting tired of the SEC hate. So when the play an out of conference opponent they want to beat them by 100, like saying “Welcome to the SEC”. I was also under the impression that bowl games were between evenly matched teams, obviously this isn’t the case.
