I do agree its a shame when a talented undefeated team has no chance at a national title. It doesn't make sense to me.

As far as I'm concerned the championship game was played with Ok. And Georgia, they have been the best 2 teams, and should never have played each other in the semifinal game. Alabama did not deserve a chance, and I hope Georgia destroys them in the champ game.

 

We are happy to play the heel! 

 

And we'll happily put the 'undeserving' National title trophy in the case if we are so lucky as to beat Georgia!

I'll be rooting for Bama but only because Georgia DESTROYED Hawaii in the Sugar Bowl a decade or so ago, and because we got one of our own in line behind Jalen Hurts.

 

That said, that Rose Bowl game was one of the better bowl games I've ever watched. Sony Michel is a BEAST.

The best part is the game won't start until about 8:30, so no need to even watch, since staying up late on a Monday of a workweek doesn't interest me at all.

Not to mention, ESPN streaming service is completely terrible.  I have download speeds approaching a GB per second and couldn't get either semifinal to stop buffering so we gave up after a half an hour and watched The Crown on Netflix.

 

ESPN should be ashamed.  I doubt we even attempt to watch.

I may watch the first quarter, but that's just because I love to watch football.

FWIW, ESPN usually runs a replay of the game the next morning. I think they usually time it to end by 6 or 7.

 

I watched the first half of Bama/Clemson before bed then watched the second half with my coffee.

 

It's almost as good as seeing it live since you don't have to run into people who give away the ending. (although the Bama game was done by half anyway)

You sure you don't mean Tua? He's the QB from Hawaii. Jalen is from Texas I believe.

(Sometimes I wish Tua was the starter despite Jalen's record. I believe Tua opens up the offense and is a much better passer although not quite as athletic)

Yep. Its extremely poor management and overspending. MNF cost them so much that it will NEVER pay for itself. Especially with the NFL's recent decline. Pair that with a sports company that tries to delve too much into politics/non sports topics and it going to cost them even more $$ due to lost viewership and clientele. 

 

Maybe ESPN turns it around but it isn't looking good for them at the moment.

Heck they got snow last week which is totally off the map.  Normally it's decent weather around although January/February can be rather chilly.
