I am a bit of a wild hitter sometimes so as you can imagine I get a lot of jokes about my Lost hat when I am searching for my ball. But it is a great hat I picked up in Maui. I have a huge head so it is hard for me to find hats that fit well. Picked up the ping when my old white one needed to be retired. I am never buying a white hat again.

Got these Hemlock hats for hanging out by the pool or at the beach but I ended up wearing the one on the right during a for fun scramble as a bit of a joke but now the black one is in my rotation for regular rounds. It keeps sweat and sun out of my eyes, it is light and breezy and putting with it on is like cheating. It has a adjustable string on the bottom to help stay on in the wind. I am a walker and prefer wearing this hat to a sun umbrella. You will get some comments, but I have never been told anything negative.  I do take the hats off for full swings, but I leave it on for all chipping and putting. And for my fellow watermelon heads, one size does fit all.  (for reference I wear 7 ¾ hats and there is still room in this thing)

Fly fishing is my true passion, with golf being a very close second.  As such, the vast majority of my 30+ ball caps are fishing related. I have several hats from the Boeing Classic Champions Tour events; provided to volunteer staff.  But my new favorite golf cap is the one I just purchased at "Old Works".

LOVE THAT COURSE!! The black sand in the traps, it being carved out of the hills and the layout are fantastic... and the 3 hole warm-up mini course is an awesome touch.

Got mine in last week and it's become my new favorite as well. I wanted the white, but I'm not as daring as you. I know I'll get it dirty in no time.

My favorite is still a white fedora with floral band that I bought at the Fontainebleau Hotel, Miami Beach, in 1987. It looks a little dingy now, but I don't care.

With the modern cars, unfortunately, the head restraints don't allow one to wear a fedora en route to the course. I have to keep it on the seat until I get there.

The first time that I wore it playing golf, I finished 18th of 144 in the local union's summer outing / Stableford tournament.

Nifty on the prize list isn't something that we saw every day, even in the 80s.

 

And now I notice that I made this same post, almost verbatim, 2½ years ago.
