GolfSpy Barbajo
The embargo finally lifted on the new Wilson C200 irons this morning. Check out the MGS Blog on the irons here. Used these for two outside rounds (The Santa Scramble shouldn't count, tho -- it was 35 degrees!), and for a couple of rounds on the simulator. For a GI iron, gotta say the feel is really, really good, and the FLX Face Technology seems to perform as the irons to deliver some distance compared to a few similar GI irons. Thoughts? Questions? Cheap shots? SPY VIP GolfSpy Dave Posted January 5, 2016 SPY VIP Share Posted January 5, 2016 I think that the local shop gets these to demo this week. Interested in hitting them. Curious about the feel and performance when you explore the outer edges of the club. Not that such a thing ever happens... NiftyNiblick
I'd never get past the graphics and cosmetics to fairly evaluate the clubs. This is a perfect example of a traditional, old school club maker abdicating its rightful leadership role to instead follow relative newcomers Callaway, TaylorMade, et al down the primrose path of tackiness.. I like the new Hogan company more with every club release the other brands make.
furu
Let's be honest here - it's an ugly golf club. I've hit it and it performs just fine, but definitely a candidate for the same list where we find Cleveland VAS.

McaseyM
I'm mostly with nifty, some of these cosmetics just don't do it for me. I think I could be impartial to test/rate how well it plays, but so many are getting way too graphic focused. deejaid
Ugly. Looks cheap to me. I guess I don't understand all this obsession with more distance from your irons. I tried out the TaylorMade RSI 2 irons on a Flightscope after hitting my KZG's. I was hitting my KZG 6 iron around 165 consistently. Then the fitter gave me the RSI 2 6 iron and I was hitting it 180-185. He was boasting how the technology is so advanced that I should switch. Well if I hit a 6 iron 185, that puts my pitching wedge around 145 yards. Am I then going to carry six wedges? It just doesn't make sense to me. Irons are for accuracy, not distance. Unfortunately, the only why oem's can sell clubs is by claiming every subsequent model is 10% longer. Hell, I should be hitting my 6 iron 250 yards by now with all the technology these companies hype.
