I didn't quite know where to start this thread but had to do it so picked here.  I also don't know how frequently X and T pop in but I hope that they catch this.

I've been a MGS member for about four years now.  I love the community and have learned exactly what I had hoped I would about equipment while making some very good friends along the way.  Thank you MGS.

I'm starting this thread because this year's beginning has been off the chart on the blog. T's stuff is always fun to read, Barbajo and our Moderators have chimed in and the volume of information is above and beyond.  Anyone wanting to check out new equipment for the upcoming season has a bounty of blog reviews to consider complete was some awesome pictures.

Thanks so much for not sitting still and taking us to the next level.

Raise your hand if you agree and chime in if you don't because I know that the guys will learn if there are dissenters.

I may not be routinely buying equipment, but since I have been here at MGS, I have purchased several clubs in my bag and many accessories based on the blog information, reviews and the Forum Member reviews.  Quality stuff!  I've never been unhappy with any purchases.  Thanks for helping an average guy!

The blogs have had a big influence in my equipment choices.  Even if I'm not actively looking, it's always worthwhile to check out their recommendations!

Kev, thanks for posting this. I was trying to figure out how to phrase it, because it's not just the blog, but the whole feel of the place. This season fall has been kind of a bummer in a general way out in meat space, but every day (sometimes several times a day), I see good stuff popping up here at MGS. Between Twitter, the blog and here, it is largely what has kept my passion for the game fired up when so many other things are just trying to drag me down.

So, I'm with you Kev. LOVE what's going on around here, and I just get this feeling in my gut, that the guys are really just now getting the ball rolling.

Alright, alright.... I enjoy the MGS Blog too. But..... aside from MGS equipment reviews which are the best; I see the same things/products - etc. presented on any given day to be the same things as over on GolfWRX. Or visa-versa. Yes, I look at and read it too. Why wouldn't I? However, I don't belong to their Forum. Never have. I spend most of my time not so much reading the MGS Blog but here in the Community. I guess the folks running other sites do the same sort of things as here. How else can you explain the similarities on the Blogs? But it doesn't matter to me. I prefer MGS over all other golf hangouts and this is where I choose to hang my hat. Great job MGS.

This is where I go for solace and respite during the day. I find the subject matter on MGS to be both current and pertinent, most of the time and laughable and light hearted when needed. I have learned many things about a game I have played mist if my life. And boy have I benefited from being active and participating in the Forum.

Thanks Rev, for priming the works for us to say thanks to the MGS powers. And thanks to all the members for their contributions.

Now, Go play golf!

Thanks RevKev for the thread, I agree! The club reviews on the MGS blog definitely played into my current putter and driver purchases. The club reviews are some of my favorite posts and I also like the entertainment value in the writing style in some of the other articles. I don't remember how I first discovered the blog, but those articles and content is what got my attention and led to discovering the forum here, which of course is a pleasure all of it's own :-)

I hate to interrupt the lovefest, and I too love the blog, my only complaint is that you can click a button on the forum to get to the blog, but I see no button or quick pass to the forums from the blog.

I'm curious how most people get to the forums. The forum page has pretty much be open since 2011 and it is in my favorites.

Please disregard my stupidity. There is a community button that goes to the forums.

I actually go the other way.  I bookmark the forum, then click on the Blog button when I want to go there.  But I agree about the "Community" button.  We all call this the "Forums" but "Community" is used on the Blog web page.  I wonder if people know what the "Community" is.

I check the front page than move here. I used to go forum to blog but now I like to see what's going on with all the news.

Another "old" thread that I thought might be good for newer members as well.

I agree with so much that has been said in here, I spent a good amount of time on the other two main sites, and I like so much of what I've seen of MGS in the couple weeks I've been around.
