MSRP: $62.00/dozen Holy Cow! $62/dozen for Pro V1's? You gotta be kidding me. What are you paying for a dozen golf balls? What ball are you playing most often? I saw on some sites prov1s at that price. Titleist think they are ExxonMobil? My favorite ball is the "free-ball", but when I run out of those, I buy those Srixon Zstars last year's go for 30ish/doz. the newer "spin skin" at 44, maybe, but prov1s at 62, no way. Mike Z
I will be purchasing exactly -0- golf balls at $62/dz. Plenty of other quality options: Snell MTB, prior year Nike or Srixon tour ball. hckymeyer
I see that's MSRP on the Titleist site, but is that was all the stores will be selling them for? They are still $47.99 on most other sites I've checked so just wondering if this is one of those cases where nobody but golf course pro shops actually sell them for MSRP or if I'm looking at least years balls and the new ones will all be $62? Either way if I wouldn't buy them at $48 I'm sure as hell not buying them at $62. Driver: SLDR w/ Fujikura Ventus Black 3w: '16 M2 hl w/ Diamana D+ 82 5w: Launcher HB w/ HZRDUS Yellow Hybrid: 22 deg. wbealsd
For early Spring & late Fall, Lost Golf Balls provides "slightly pre-used" golf balls work just as well, for a LOT less money. Currently, I'm gaming the Master Grip C4 and want to try the Snell balls this season. For the price they're asking for the Titleist balls, they should be able to swim and include GPS locators if they end up in trouble! PlaidJacket
Ha. I thought Foz was yanking our chain. Yes.. on the Titleist website they are $62/dz. Who would pay that? Perhaps some guy in a retail shop can tell someone's wife what a great deal they have on PV1's at $47/dz. LOL I don't buy them ever anyway. And if I did they'd be right at about $51.90 including tax. dru_
My home pro shop sells Titleist, Bridgestone and Nike balls. Up until this last season, Titleist was the most popular brand in the shop. They sold a ton of them. Bridgestone had started to erode some of that lead, in the prior year, but this summer, the RZN's passed them up in sales at our club, but, and this is a big one. The Pro-V outsold the RZN Platinum, while the RZN Black's destroyed the the NXT's in sales for the year (almost 2 to 1 from what I heard). jrmull
Even at the old price $47.99 ($4 per ball), I don't know, it just seems steep to me - might be different if I were getting paid to play :-) Maybe my perspective is wrong, but Bridgestone 330 RXS and Snell My Tour Ball (my new favorite) seem plenty good enough to me. It's definitely not that I don't like the Pro V1/V1X balls. Kenny B
I like PV1's, but haven't bought any for many years. I used to get a dozen for Christmas or my birthday, but since I switched to the Z-stars a few years ago and the MG Tour C4 and Snell MTB balls recently, I haven't gotten any for awhile. I really haven't missed playing them, and at $62 or $47 a dozen, I REALLY don't miss them. “We don’t stop playing the game because we get old; we get old because we stop playing the game.”

McaseyM
Holy schnikes that's friggin expensive. Luckily, i grew up across the street from an OB area and never bought balls in my youth and have been lucky enough to get balls as gifts or won them in tourneys or on here. I don't play enough to notice the difference at this point, but >$5 per ball, i could play a round at a fairly good course in my area for the price of the 4-5 balls i'd lose What's in my bag: Driver : F9 10.5, Fujikura Speeder 757 TR Fairway F9 15.5° Aldila Rogue White 80X Hybrid: King F7 18° KBS Tour PROTO Hybrid 95 S+ Irons: z585 4i - 6i, z785 7i-PW, Nippon Modus 120X Wedges: CBX 50.11, 55.11, 60.10 TT DG S400 Black Putter: Honey Badger 34" Ball: Q-Star Tour
