GolfSpy Barbajo
Here's another one I missed at the PGA show. Gotta admit, as a traveling guy this does have an odd, almost perverse sort of appeal.... DV8 GOLF CLUBS: From Assembly to Swing from DV8 Sports on Vimeo. chemclub
Double strap bags and stand bags were heresy at one point too. They aren't wrong that travel (especially air travel) with a golf bag is a pain. For this company to get big they need enough interest that large brand name OEMs start licensing their technology. A lot of folks have two sets of clubs (whatever that back up set is used for). Imagine you have one set of gamers and another set of your favorite heads outfitted with these shafts. chemclub
2 sets... What is this? Amateur hour?! I remember when I got my irons 15 years ago folks told me, "great and your old irons will make a nice backup set". Not sure why I need a back up set. I don't think I have hit them since much less swung them. I would consider converting them over to these shafts though. (They are old knock off set (ProbeGT). Decent clubs but probably not worth the resale). chemclub
OK, I have come back to look at this thread a little too much, but I think this could be an interesting (dare I say disruptive) technology. The whole NIKE urban backpack was a little silly, all about turning your neighborhood into a golf course with a removable grass patch (had a bit of a golf parkour flavor to it). This is actually solving a problem. I travel a few times a year for work and would like to bring along the clubs but it is always more trouble than it is worth. I may be in the minority here, but I would be interested in an MSG review. How does the shaft and club feel compared to a "regular" club? Does it feel like a decent GI iron? Does it feel solid?
