TESTERS ANNOUNCED! Mizuno JPX EZ Forged Irons!

Recommended Posts

This is perfect, I was going to be fitted for forged Mizunos for my birthday and the only decision was JPX 850 forged with boron or the new forged EZ's with boron. Thanks for the opportunity!

Landon, Mason, Ohio

12.5

Innovex Type S GDT Mitsubishi Rayon Kuro Kage Black 80i- stiff flex, 4-LW.

Custom built by me, 38,25" 4 iron and 1/4" increments down from there. 36.5" in the GW, SW & LW.

I've mostly stayed away from forged irons over the years because of forgiveness. I've played many, as in hundreds of types of irons, including forged, but have never tried the Mizuno brand. I've played their drivers, fwys and hybrids, but never the irons. It would be nice to find out what I've missed, if anything.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking for an iron set from one of the top OEMs.

I'm not (unless maybe it was Srixon), but I'm looking forward to the reviews ;)

Yes, yes, yes!!! Pick ME, ME, ME!!! (Sorry, got a little excited there)...Here's my info...

Lee - Hometown is Chestnut Ridge, NY, but I've been living in Ft Myers, FL for last 12 yrs

Handicap is 12-14 (I don't have an official one, but generally shoot 78-86 from 3rd tees from the back)

Current irons/shafts - Callaway X2Hot Pro PX 95 5.5 shafts (need a little more forgiveness and distance...or a better swing...Whichever comes first...lol)

Custom Fit – yes or no - Yes, but was fitted primarily for model of iron, then for the flex and lie. No testing of different shafts in the same irons. Bought off the rack based upon feedback.

Would love check these out.

Ron from Hemet, CA

9.8 handicap

Current irons: Switch off between two.  1) Hogan Edge Forged Cavity Back (original version); 2) Giga Golf TRX v. 11 CB

Not fitted for either.

Maybe I can finally find the blend of my gamers - great feel AND modern distance/ball flight.

I have a set of JPX 919 hot metal pro irons, 4 - GW, kbs c taper light stiff shafts, that have been played for about 15 rounds and hit for 5 range sessions. Still pretty much look new (will post pictures later), but looking to potentially trade for a set of black cobra forged tec irons in similar shape, or a set of 919 forged. The clubs are fine, but the added distance I get compared to my old clubs is a little more than I need.
All standards for length, lie, etc. If in the metro Detroit area, would be willing to meet up to make the trade to save on shipping.

      Hi folks,
I’ve been told several times by pros that OEMs offer a refinishing process for their clubs. I’m looking at getting my MP4s refinished at the end of the season but can’t seem to find a contact for Mizuno in Ireland that knows about this (or is willing to tell me over a sale), does anyone have any advice or alternative options to this. I don’t want to change clubs as I really enjoy playing these but they are starting to wear.
      Thanks in advance
      Richard

      Hi all,
Mixed bag of goodies coming at you from Canada!
Driver:  Cobra Biocell (set at 12º)
      Cobra Baffler Hybrid - 18º
      Mizuno MP-18SC irons (3-PW)
Cobra Tour Trusty Wedges (52º and 58º)
Odyssey White Hot Pro CS7 putter
      TaylorMade TP5x ball
Still got room for one more club - demoing 3/4 woods at the moment, but I also tend to switch my wedge configuration to a 50/54/58 from my current 52/58 ... depends on the course.

Cheers to a new season! 😄
