I walk 99% percent of the time, so I look for very comfortable shoes that matches my style even if costs me $200. But, with that said I take my time to shop around for deals as well.

I just got a pair of Adiboost 3 that are awesome. Well worth the price in my mind.

Except should have gone a size larger. Will probably post these in the classifieds next week.

If you want spikeless, go with FJ Pro/SL. They are super comfortable for walkers.

Worth $200? Debatable. I used to get Eccos for their comfort but their quality has not been the same since the first Bioms releases. I now game 2 pairs of Nikes one for morning rounds (cleated) and use the spikeless ones for afternoon rounds but both pairs aren’t current year releases.

I'm with most of the reply here.  I had been a miser of non-essentials for the last decade.  As my kids are going through the higher education ( many of them with a 4 year graduate program ).

Golf had been one of the non-essentials which gotten no attention for the latest and the best.  I searched for the discount rate in green fees and other components in the game as most of you do.  Scrambled to make what I have to work for my current game.  Re-shaft all my golf clubs at one time or the other except for the putters.

However, golf shoes is not one of the item which I'd ignored.  As I learned and understand the footing, or the foot work, is of great importance in the game of golf.  Especially with the modern golf swing, which demands the golfers to maximize his/her potential on all the full swings.

Golfers place more demand from their golf shoes than any other sports that I know.  A good pair of golf shoes is not just the fit and comfort.  It involves all the movements in a golf swing which the golfer would tilt and pivot and turn and placing the whole body weigh on just one part of one foot at some point of time.  Lateral support ?  Ground gripping ?

We've heard many well known instructors say similar phase as power from the ground up, or keep your balance............The foot work in a golf swing influence the direction of the golf shots ( balance), the distance of the golf shot ( power from the ground up), about just everything a golfer does during a full golf swing has something to do with the foot work.

Yes, I still shop for the best deal with golf shoes.  With an educated shopping list.

Beware of purchasing a model year which is more than a couple of calendar years.  The OEM warranty might might not be applied to those older than a few years, even it's NOS in the original box.

Like cowboys dressed from the head down ( their hats ), the golfers should dress from the foot up ( their golf shoes ).

Have a wonderful season, as much as what we could salvage out of the current condition, and, stay safe.

I look for deals and prefer to spend closer to $100 a pair than $200. The Inesis shoes are probably the best value. I’ve had the best luck with durability with Footjoys.

I have purchased 'cheap' golf shoes in the past, and have always been disappointed.  For myself I do what others have posted here; buy last year's model for roughly half the cost from when they were a current years model.

I went ballistic when the local courses banned steel spikes all those many years ago.

I couldn't get used to the soft spikes to save my life.

Plus I had some money in footwear I could no longer use.

That may have created the attitude that made me resist the soft spikes so much.

I ended up unscrewing the steel spikes and using them for semi-dress shoes.

Putting my feet up created a scene from Tin Cup.

The spikeless ones were a little better, not much, and I ended up with them.

But I'd go back to "nails" in a minute if they allowed it.

As for price, I don't know how important that is.

If they don't feel uncomfortable or hurt, you should be golden.

Without steel spikes, none of them give you much of a grip on the turf anyway.

At least you overswing less, just not to end up on your keister.
