Yep! I did that last season and I thought I'd end up dying before I got them all out.

Its sad when you have to resort to screwdrivers and boxcutters because the spike removal tool won't work. I had literally broken a sweat when I decided to use the screwdriver to help loosen it up.

I need to score a pair of the High top golf shoes......anybody find them for under $200?

I doubt you will find them under 200 anytime soon. Might have to break down and get a good pair that'll last you a few years if you want high tops

Move over to the TW shoes and I promise you won't ever lose a spike randomly... Or possibly on purpose.

Side note to this thread. I replaced all the spikes on my TW shoes the other day and holy crap. I would rather pull my own teeth than do that again.

I had the same issue on my left shoe, known problem for footjoy they were allowing refunds our sending people spikes. Someone recommend using lock tite, my Adidas adipure's use the pins system too, but I have never lost spikes on those and I've had one pair almost 3 years and have replaced spikes 2 times by choice

Not 100% the Question but I used the removal tool, some small pliers and a small screwdriver. The screwdriver and pliers definitely helped loosen them up.

Just bought these at Golfsmith. I tried last years FJ model, then tried these. Comfortable? I wanted to wear these out of the store! Salesman said he's had customers come back after a week to buy a second pair. I'm looking forward to the next 6-mile walking round.

I like them and wanted to buy them but just could not get the right size and width combo, a full size and a half smaller than I normally wear and I could still slip them off without Un lacing them.

If the objective is to shoot a lower score, than definitely not!!!! A new pair of golf shoes will not substantially outperform a model that is 2 or 3 years old. I don't think the "cleats" technology has improved that much since changing metal spikes to plastic.

Does anyone else think that paying $150~$200 for the latest golf shoes is just ridiculous! I found this project that's looking to change that! feel free to check out the site!

You found that site link that has affordable golf shoes and you joined MGS an hour ago, replied to a year old post to promote it? How fortuitous for those of us looking for new golf shoes [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

Your forum name looks pretty similar to the website link, so I'd assume you are advertising your new golf shoe line. You can send me a PM and I'll give you my address. Send me a size 12 and I'll review them for our MGS members. [emoji16]

It's like anything else in golf - wait for it and you can get a $200 pair is shoes for $80. That's what I do.

I have four pairs right now because I bought a couple of pairs when Sports authority went OOB. The Trues are my favorites.

Taylor Made Stealth 10.5  Aldila Ascent Red R flex

Ping G410 5, 7, 9 wood  Alta 65 R flex

Wilson D7 forged 5-GW -  Mamiya recoil 460 R flex

Edison Wedges 54 and 59 KBS Tour Graphite 80's

EVNRoll ER 5

Titleist Pro VIx optic yellow with revkev stamped on them

Still on that elusive hunt for a 3 wood that I'm able to hit - I don't know why, I crush the 5 wood and it's really a 4 wood anyway.

I love my footjoy shoes but I never buy the latest model when they come out. As Revkev said just wait a few months and they're discounted dramatically.

I usually wait until shoes are on sale. I've been a Foot Joy guy for a long time. Bought 2 pair a few weeks ago and they were under $70/ pr.

I've got spike and spikeless. I wear one or the other depending on where we're playing and conditions.

Shoes do not improve that much over time so I can buy new old stock from the year 2005 and it's still be a stellar piece. Although I'm spoiled with the new soft and easy to walk modern golf shoes, I'm not opposed to the stiff as hell leather wingtip that takes a few months to break in. You can pick one up for really cheap nowadays.
