Your golf shoes: spikes or no spikes?

Recommended Posts

For me, personally, I REALLY dislike changing out spikes. Also, I like changing shoes after about a year anyway, so I go with spikeless shoes.

Currently, I'm liking the Puma Swing GTX. In the past, I've enjoyed the Etonic G-SOK, and I've got a pair of Footjoy Dry Joy spikeless shoes in storage waiting for me when the Puma wears out.

What about the rest of you?

Last year was a Puma year with some Tippers and some Swing Crown GTX. Knocked the Adidas out easily. So light and comfy even in a size 12. No break in period either. The Smart Quills held up nice although I didn't get as many games in as usual.

Well I have to have spikes, our fairways are usually fairly moist most of the year and there's no way I would want to be spinning out all day. Not saying I couldn't play without spikes just like having that grip in the ground! JMO

I'm in the same situation... the North East is tough to not have spikes, especially in the spring and fall, I don't even like going to the driving range in sneakers

I've been living in my Ecco World Class for the last year, and there is nothing better. That being said, I am going to try the new Ecco Summer Casual shoes that Freddy was sporting earlier this season. IT looks like they are spikeless, so we shall see.
