revkev
It makes sense but really has no impact on my game or buying choices. I continue to enjoy seeing Callaway guys and gals win using someone else's golf ball. Now that's fun. Jack was my favorite player ever and I never considered MacGregor. I loved watching Tiger and have only even demo'd a Nike club once, I think it was the Sumo because there happened to be a demo day at the range that I went to. If there is one thing I've learned its that there are some great golfers on this planet and I'm not one of them. However I do find a certain level of verification knowing that the brand of clubs or ball that I'm playing is being used on tour. Johnny U
I'm sure they'll be filming some pretty cool commercials with the two longest drivers on tour, Rory and Dustin. It's definitely an awesome lineup for Nike now and especially when Tiger makes his come back. Maybe this will be the jump start Dustin needs to win a major! BIG STU
I would find it hard to believe because DJ has been with T-Mag since the CCU days because they are a supplier to their golf program. But still money talks I know. I am probably going to ruffle some feathers here but I will be blunt and this is only my opinion. Everyone that has switched from Cameron to Nike putters in recent years their putting has went to crap. Tiger, Rory and Suzanne Pederson are 3 that I know of. Of course even from the early days DJ was a streaky putter and I have met and talked to him several times even before he was rich and famous and I am a big fan. DJ is such a good ball striker that he can hit any kind of club made effectively just his putting has always been suspect. If he and Sergio could putt decent no one out there including Speith or Rory could beat them because both of them are great ball strikers. If DJ does make the change he may be the first in history to go from a Cameron putter to a Nike with good results. Rev you do not know what you missed not playing Macgregor back in the day (LOL) I am talking like real Macgregors not that crap Golfsmith has stamped "Macgregor" today. Of course if you ever desire to hit real ones you know the source for real ones --Me---- LOL again As far as what equipment Pros play on tour does not influence me in the least I play what works for me and what I like--- I mean no one on tour plays 30+ year old irons and Srixon Soft Feel balls not even on the Champion's tour. mcavoy
Maybe the swoosh makes a good coke spoon. I keed, I keed. I'm sure from the club perspective he would do fine w/them. Seems like the big adjustment when guys at that level switch is the ball. Nike, if I remember correctly, wants all their staffers to play a Nike ball. I bought a dozen of the Nike RZN Blacks a year or so ago and they were a big improvement over the first generation RZN's which weren't very good IMO. I really haven't tried any of their clubs but I'm sure they're fine. Wedges look a little funky tho.
