Hi everyone Tony from N.Y. With a pursuit of info to make my game more enjoyable. Right now golf is a four letter word for me as a 25 handicap. Looking to get better

Love this game on and off for about 30 years. Just start playing hard for the last 4 or 5 years. And still a hack..ūüėÉūüėÉūüėĄ

Hi, my name is Betty (and I'm not over 65. Haha). I'm a golf enthusiast and excited to be part of the group...

Hello, I've been a member for a while , but never got around to introducing myself. I hope to be more active in the future. I recently retired from the Air Force after 21 years of service to this

Hi.  Wanted to introduce myself.  I'm a golf nut from Southern California.  Am recently recovering from surgery to repair 3 torn quadriceps tendons in my left leg.  Just starting to play golf again after several months of rehab.   Feels good to be on the golf course again!!

I've been here for a short while, but am still finding my way around.

Just a quick intro, and offer to others out there.

I'm old school golf meets new millennium. From first clubs being wooden shafted to being able to hit the ball over 300 yards at the age of 60. From good old balata to resin blends.

Any and all tips & suggestions given to me will be listened to and considered...and, my offer to you is any questions that I may be able to help with will receive the same consideration.

Hope that the storm hasn't gotten in the way of your holiday weekend plans, and would love to know how your courses have handled the rains.

Golf...a game you can't win

But, you can hate it & enjoy it at the same time

Can I ask a silly question?

How do I get the actual logo of the equipment I'm using in my signature like a few others do?

@jofi

Just open the emoticons/smileys window when you are replying and it shows the code for each logo

Ok maybe I just figured it out.

I'm Tony and have only played for 5 years. I realized (painfully) that I should have started playing at 6 vs 60. I'm a member of Catawba Island Club in northwest Ohio and am fortunate to play a lot since we live adjacent to the course.

Currently play to a 24 handicap and would probably play better if I could get a sports psychologist as a caddie

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this, but if new members would like too, BigTazz started a members map in the Members Introduction section. You can pin yourself in the area you live. It's really cool. You can look right on Google maps and see where most members are from in the US and around the world.

I always thought when new members join besides simply adding an avatar/picture they should include their location and handicap. In my mind it kind of helps paints a more complete picture. This can be accomplished in "settings". Another idea would be to add themselves to the MGS Member map.

In case anyone missed the original post wayyyy back at the beginning...

All the Test/Review opportunities we've had so far this spring are bringing in a TON of new members, which is beyond awesome!

Welcome to all of you!!!

A couple of tips to help you enjoy the MyGolfSpy Forum more:

1. Make sure to include an avatar or picture in your profile.  It adds a little personality, and it will DEFINITELY help  you if you'd like to be selected to test a product.

2. Post an introduction thread in the Introduce Yourself section of the forum (click here).

We have a friendly group here and we'd love to hear more about you and your game.

3. Check out the different threads and share your thoughts.

Lots of great conversations going on - please feel free to jump in and tell us what you think.  Our only rule is to be nice!

4. To get the latest posts, click on the "Newest Posts" button in the upper right hand corner - that'll keep you up do date.

5. Something on your mind? Start a new thread -- ask questions, seek advice, share your experiences - we're a community unlike any other on the Internet, and all opinions are respected.  Let's hear what you have to say!

Any questions, shoot me, GolfSpy Bones, GolfSpy Shawn or GolfSpy Meyer a PM!

Welcome, and have some fun out there!
