Ladies Golf- What do you feel stands between you and your best ever round?

Ok Ladies, let's dig deep and figure out what's holding us back.

For me, I have to say my putting.  I have changed my stroke, but if I don't practice it gets ugly.  I start mixing the old with the new and I keep missing left and right.

What's in your way!

golfgal sorry to jump in here but I did want to welcome you and couldn't find a suitable place to do it.  I hope that we get some more women actively participating in our forum as you add another perspective to our great game.

Taylor Made Sim2  10.5 (Opened 1 click) Ventus Blue 5  R flex

Ping G410 5-9 wood  Alta 65 R flex

Wilson D7 forged 6-GW -  Mamiya recoil 460 R flex

Edison Wedges 54 and 59 KBS Tour Graphite 80's

EVNRoll ER 5

Titleist Pro VIx optic yellow with revkev stamped on them

Tour Exotics 3 wood is in the bag because we are allowed 14 clubs.  It's a great club for pulling balls out of the water or from bushes - you never want to put your hand into anything in Florida unless you are absolutely certain that it's safe.  There are rare wind conditions when I might hit it off the tee on a few holes that I play.

What came to mind first was inattentive and slow bev cart girls. lol

Seriously, my best round (so far) can be attributed to knowing the course. Since I have moved and I now play numerous courses without a home course, my scores have suffered. Secondly, I know ill-fitted clubs have prevented me from achieving a lower handicap. And third, the wind will destroy any hope of scoring my best round ever.

Welcome from the Pacific Northwest!  Glad you joined us Betty.  My wife has been playing since she was 8... now 60.  Since we joined a club this year and have played it many times, her scores have come down to low 80's.  When we travel, they go back up to low 90's.  Course familiarity has a lot to do with it.

She doesn't get involved here on the forums but she knows many of the guys because I tell her about many of them and read many of the great posts out here to her.  We have also played with rev and foz on our travels.  I hope you get many other ladies involved; we need a woman's touch here!!

OK, I've been holding back. What truly holds us back from and stands in the way of our best round ever are TaTa's. Yes, they get in the way. Nothing to do about that, except swing a little different from men and how does that difference in a swing effect the approach to a ball and furthermore, the flight of the ball?

Golfgal- yes the "girls" do get in the way,  .. But what really throws me off is slow play.gives me time to think and second guess what I would do or I get sluggish and just play poorly. doesn't make for a great score.

I was thinking Gerina Piller and Brittany Lincicome who average 270 off the tee.

I feel you there. At least the second part. Slow play kills me and doesn't allow me to get into a rhythm.
