Hey give him a break on the iron covers,he doesn't want a bunch of little Knicks and dings all over his irons!! Those forged clubs are so soft it doesn't take much, I personally like the little dings and stuff on my irons to a certain extent I have Titileist AP 2's and a lot of stuff shows up and he just doesn't want that on his!!

I'm 50-50 when it comes to club covers - it depends on what they're covering! If the player has a set of Mizuno MP irons (or bladed irons in general), then I'm all for them, but if the irons are a set of Callaway Big Bertha (2015) OS irons, then I'll be mocking them.

Sounds like an old thread here on iron covers. I keep mine covered until I begin using them. Then they don't get covered until I'm done. My Pings look great even after 6 years, but the Cleveland wedges get nicked up pretty easily.

Keep those covers on... break out the neverdull once a month and polish em up.

 

Then listen to all the complements you get on the great looking clubs.
