DanUsh
It depends on what part of the day I am playing and if it is right after a meal. I will always bring water and a Gatorade. In the morning I will bring a banana and a protein bar. Afternoon rounds a protein bar, granola bar, or crackers. And if i am really hurting i will grab a hot dog at the turn. 808nation
Appreciate the responses, reason I'm asking is because by the time I'm on the 14th hole I always feel worn out. I walk the course with my cart so it really can't be that, maybe I'll try to spread out the snacks (granola bar) every 4 holes. Or maybe it's just from the slow pace of play...lol. Has anyone tried 5 hour energy? Wonder if it'll make me jittery. I agree, weather has been really awful lately here in North Jersey. Seems like the rain gods know whenever I'm off to play golf. Fireinthehole
I usually head out about one hour after a meal, so there aren't many times i am feeling hungry during a round. I'll eat cliff bars for sure, but try to avoid sugary to processed foods to avoid a crash/ greasy fingers. Beef jerky is not too bad, not really into eating foods that require heavy digestion, its one way to ruin your round by diverting blood flow to the somach. Ive had energy drinks before rounds, but I am not sensitive to caffiene so haven't had issues with that. I beleive getting paired up with strangers and playing throught wreck my nerves more.
