Gday my name is Col and I'm am from Brisbane in Queensland Australia.

 

I am a golf course superintendent at Caboolture golf club and enjoy my profession.

 

I play 1-2 times per

Month and don't really have any consistency in my game.

Looking forward to my time here

Was recently in the US..... Son paid for a trip to Vegas and Masters. Arrived earlier and played golf in Palm Springs

 

Shadow Mountain

Indian Canyons

La Quinta

 

In Vegas

Wynn Resort

Rio Secco

Cascata

 

Masters

Sat

Sun

 

Down to North Carolima

 

Mt Vintage Plantation

 

Tour was virtually Vegas and Masters, rest was a pre tour thing......

 

Also took in last day at ANA Inspirational..... Met Karrie and watched Lydia Ko

Win and take a running jump hahaha.

Great trip!  Which course did you like best in Palm Springs?  I've played all you listed, but I enjoyed the North Course at Indian Canyons the best.  It may not have been the prettiest course, but I liked the layout and nostalgia.

It's good to see another Aussie on the forums, even if he's from NSW. I played Caboolture golf course just over a month ago. Had some of the slickest greens I've ever played for a public course. 

Driver: Cobra F9 Speedback (9.0) with Fujikura Atmos 7X (Avalanche White) 

3 Wood: Callaway Epic Sub-Zero (15 degrees) in Rogue Max 75g stiff shaft

Hybrid (not in play): Callaway Apex 20 degree with Kurokage 80g Stiff Shaft

First time I ever stimp measured a green today running at 11.5

Great trip!  Which course did you like best in Palm Springs?  I've played all you listed, but I enjoyed the North Course at Indian Canyons the best.  It may not have been the prettiest course, but I liked the layout and nostalgia.

I think it was the north course with the Lotus flower fountain. A straight par 4 with houses down the left???

 

 

La Quinta without a doubt!!!!! Absolutely stunning layout

 

 

Shadow mountain fairways hadn't been cut, was scared of that place Hahahaha.

 

One point on the 3rd I had a choice of losing 60 metres and hitting over a tree, or going for the green

But needing to clear a motorbike and corner of a house...... I was on the tee that had a street run past it and a dog leg left......

Welcome mate, I love the Queensland and Brisbane (Gold Coast) areas. I have visited there twice while I was living in Japan.  In Japan I became friends with and Australian PGA pro who was teaching English there with his wife.  Great people there and loved my visits.

There are fountains on both courses at Indian Canyons but it sounds like the North Course, which the better course.  La Quinta was great; we played the Mountain Course, didn't have time to play the Dunes Course; maybe next trip!
