Hi,

 

I'm a new member from South Carolina (originally from Michigan born and raised though). I play golf as much as my wife lets me with a 3 and 9 year old that take up most of my free time. I've been reading this website for a couple of years and finally decided to become a member.

 

Golf is my passion in life though. When I'm not hanging out with the family or watching football, I'm either playing golf or hitting tons of balls at the range (that's where you'll find me every day during my lunch break). I also love reading about and testing new equipment. I've went through 10 drivers in the last 3 years trying to find the right combo. I won't even tell you about the number of iron sets and putters I've been through as well. The two golf major golf stores in town both know me by a first name basis and I see dollar signs in their eyes when I walk in. Never a good sign. 

 

But, I love the game and everything it stands for. It's something I plan on doing until my body fails me which I hope is a long, long time from now.

Welcome from the Pacific Northwest!!  Glad you finally decided to join us.  You should be able to play for a long, long time.  That's why I took up the game after my softball and volleyball days left me too sore to play.  Still struggling along at 69.

Patriots is in pretty rough shape right now but the location is good. I play Charleston National and Rivertowne the most. Both are great courses that anyone can play. From where I live it's only an hour drive up the coast to the Myrtle Beach area so we try to head up there and play a few times a year.
