I started playing golf around age 12, fell in love, and played in high school (6.5 HDCP) and then during summers in college. Took too much time off when I started working, but now I'm back and crazier than ever about golf. Nowadays I don't have a formal handicap but shoot anywhere from the mid-70s to mid-80s. My goals is to get back to single digits. About a year ago I updated my appx. 20-year old Taylor Made Burner Midsize irons that I purchased in my teens with a new set of Mizuno MP-54 irons with KBS Tour 120. I added three Mizuno MP-T5 wedges and I also swapped out a 25-year old Titleist Bullseye putter for a SC Studio Design 2.5. Two weeks ago I upgraded my driver from a Callaway Hawkeye VFT to a Titleist 915 D3 9.5 after months of swinging just about every driver. Looking forward to playing lots of golf and learning new things from this group! Regarding my handicap, I'm still all over the place with my consistency or lack thereof. I shot 75 a week ago and promptly followed it up with an 89 the following weekend. But I guess that's why we play this crazy game! But I guess that's why we play this crazy game! I absolutely love them. No complaints. Great feel and spin. Shafts to match my irons at no up charge was also a good bonus. I've never really been brand loyal but with irons and wedges I might very well be now. I played the 54s before my JPX850s and loved those irons. Still my back up set.
