I've corresponded with him a number of times and he was always responsive and cordial. It doesn't hurt that I have a friend in the sports writing business whose name I could drop. Basically, that he's a one trick pony and between Rick And Bill Simmons everyone is already seen the trick. One was about Iraq and Afghanistan right in the middle of the wars. Basically it was slamming the US and talked about Pat Tillman( before we knew he was killed via friendly fire and wasn't for the war). I just remember reading that and going oh boy here we go. That and this kind of thing. I think he's good when he wants to be but often cruise controls. As a person whose in the media, there's nothing worse than a person who thinks they have the story and won't actually do any investigation or deep thinking. Just type a page or two and it in and there you go. For the record, I honestly don't care either way for him.
