What is your driver length?

dhayse32

Recommended Posts

What are you currently playing your driver at?  I play better with a shorter driver but have recently inched back up to the 45-45.5" range and my driving had got worse and worse.   I have since went back down, like 43.5", and my consistency is so much better while increasing distance.

How about you?

I have played a 45" driver since 1998. I tried 45.5" for a summer, but it felt a little unwieldy.  Back to 45" for me.

45" inches in my current driver.  Generally do not go more than that length or it gets very wild for me.

45" - I can go longer and have.  I've also been at 44.5 - I like 45 - it's a nice length for me.

I can't remember but the stock specs say my 2014 SLDR 460 is 45.5" and mine is stock. However, I grip down about 3/4" when I swing. On an interesting note perhaps.... all my old "Wooden" drivers are exactly 43".

I didn't know, so I just went to the Ping website for my G30. Says 45.75"!!!!! That seems long, but I've been getting pretty good results with it. But then, went back and checked my old TM Rocketballz Driver and that's a 46". Never realized I was hitting clubs at the longer end of the spectrum.

Nonchalant putts count the same as chalant putts.

In my Ogio Ozone XX Cart Stand Bag:

Ping G400 10.5 Deg Driver, stock Stiff shaft
TM Rocketballz 19 Deg 5 Wood, stock Matrix Osik Stiff shaft
TM Rocketballz Stage 2 21 Deg Tour 4 Hybrid, Rocketfuel 80h Stiff shaft

Callaway Apex CF 16 Irons, 4-P, Stiff Shafts

Scor 48 and 55 degree wedges.

Been using a 44" driver for awhile, I feel like I can really go after the ball with it. Recently changed to 45.5" to try and get more distance, which I have a little, still undecided if I want to keep it at that length.

I like pars, so the length is 44.44" give or take the odd grip variance from time to time.

i like around the 44.5-45" range, I focus more on swing weight with my driver now, which isn't at all that reliable. Perfect example is this M2, standard length is 45.75 and I am playing it at 45" and it is perfect length and swing weight!

My driver is currently 45" but I played 3 rounds last weekend and choked down an inch. I had one of my best driving days of all time. I recorded the longest drives I've ever had on Gamegolf Live and had a much higher fairway percentage than I normally do. I think I'm just going to stick with method. It's working great so far. Apparently hitting the middle of the clubface helps for some reason. Weird, isn't it?

46.25 I believe is stock for a Burner, though I will choke down on it from time to time.  When I get ready to replace it I'll blow off my grip and cut it down an inch just to see if it helps.

stock in my R11 was 45.75" and I was never really comfortable and confident with it. Cut it down to 44.25" and it is now one of my favorite clubs to hit. It is really amazing how much it makes a difference.
