Mr_Theoo
Thanks for taking time out to read the ramblings of a golf tragic. If you have ANY questions, please ask away and I'll try my best to answer them...it may not be what you want to hear, but I'll be up front and honest. I'd like to thank MGS and Mizuno for this tremendous opportunity they've given us testers. I hope I haven't let the team down too much but I'm not much of a wordsmith. chemclub
I have the 3 wood and it is so easy to hit. Definitely a go-to club off the tee. I feel like the ball flies off the face. josmi15
Update from this tester: I was really striping it down the fairway lately with Mizzy, I've closed the gap on driving distance with my golf partner. At beginning of season my driver had regressed to a 190 yard swooping slice. That I had no confidence whatsoever. With a slight adjustment and my trusty Mizuno, I was averaging 243 the other day. So now on average he has me by about 10-15 yards Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy mobile app JudgeSmails, cksurfdude and Golfspy_CG2 3 Quote Titleist 917D2 10.5 Ben Hogan GS53 3 Wood PING G425 MAX 5 Wood Cleveland UHX Launcher 3 Iron PING G30 5-PW Cleveland RTX 3.0 50/10 V-MG Cleveland RTX 3.0 54/14 V-FG Cleveland RTX 3.0 58/12 V -FG EVNROLL ER-

chemclub
I cut 1.25" off my R11. I took it to the range and kept swing and hitting adding 1" of lead tape to the head at a time. It was really interesting to feel the clubhead more with each addition of tape. I don't remember how much I added, just kept going until I didn't like the feel. Removed that one strip and viola! chemclub
I've had the 3 wood for while It's a canon and has a surprising amount of forgiveness for a fairway wood - not as much as a driver of course, but still impressive. Even though the distance is great, I find it does not have a solid feel (which is always subjective). It feels like you are hitting a hollow fairway wood. That critique is pretty minor though. I actually don't use a 3-wood enough for it to be a big deal. Should maybe try out a formal 4 wood Quote Bag: Bennington Quiet Organizer 9-Lite (link) Cart: 3.5+ Driver: F9 speedback, Accra iWood Woods: Sonartec GS Tour 14*, Fujikura Six S DI: T-MB 2 iron, KBS Tour-V 120 X, Irons: PP-9003SN 4-GW, Nippon 1150GH Stiff Wedges: 1957 K-grind SW, LW, Nippon 1150GH Stiff Putter: EXO Indianapolis (link) Ball: MTB

josmi15
I have not. If it's a good deal I'd jump on it. I still think the world of my 3W. STUDque
FWIW, I did a little digging and found some stuff on the hybrid. They're high launching and top of the class in forgiveness but give up distance to get it. The big head makes them like a mini wood that can spin more to hold greens. They keep up with the rest of the class for the most part from the tee and fairway but lose pace with the field when it comes to shots out of the rough. I've been trying to remember the past year+ of golf and think I've only had 1 shot total that required a hybrid out of the rough. Since that won't matter for my game, this might be a good club for me. I'm still on the prowl for a deal on a F7 hybrid since it's best all around so I'll give that the ole college try. PS. Great reviews from all 3 of you. Seems like the Driver/Fairway combo was a good fit for each of you. I like reading reviews by people I know but didn't know they had even done a review. It's like "hey! I know that guy." Sometimes I'll read reviews based on the testers even if I'm not interested in the product just to see what the testers bring to the table. Targetdrone
Bumping it again, but for a good relevant reason. I want updates. I noticed the testers have moved on to other drivers, but 2 of you still bag the 3 wood. Was it a difficult decision to ditch the driver? That wasn't the real reason I switched, I went through the True Golf Fit and was fit for a 9° degree driver, I now have the Cobra F9 driver and 3 wood and won't be switching anytime soon. I never fathom of playing a 9° degrees driver but I am getting longer drives and I also cut down my driver so now it's long and straighter.
