Bobby Grace 6330

... Absolutely loved this putter. I have a strong gate stroke and have always played a heel shafted 8802 like putter, with a few heel shafted mallets in the mix. But the wider flange of the 6330 gave it a great look at address and I had complete confidence with it.

... Playing on vacation in Los Angeles in June and was paired up with 3 older Asian golfers that were very appreciative of good golf. Needed a 5 on the par 5 to shoot -1 on 18 and chipped in for eagle pin high in the rough. My pards went a little crazy clapping and patting me on the back. One gave me a Gold dollar coin he used to mark his ball and said "You remember you play with us when you use coin". Very nice gesture and indeed I do use his gift. BUT

in all the excitement I left my Bobby Grace in the rough. Got to my hotel about 20 minutes away and taking my clubs out of the trunk noticed my putter was gone and immediately drove back to the course. Nobody had turned it in. Left my info and called 3 more times with no luck. What kind of POS steals a putter? Especially a no name putter because the sole was covered in lead tape and they wouldn't know what kind of putter it is AND it is 33" making it too short for most.

... Been looking on Ebay and contacted Bobby Grace but he has no plans to re issue the 6330. I will keep looking but don't expect to find one. I am guessing 99% of golfers turn in clubs they find, I just had to be playing just in front of one of the 1%. If anyone knows of a wider flange 8802 style putter please send me a link.

My guess the one on BG site isn't wide enough. It is on sale though if you email him. Great price.

I have a Japan Studio Bettinardi that is like a smaller flanged Bb16/Odessey 9/Terry McCabe design but it has a pocket cavity.

I'll try to post pics with my SS6 and a BB16/34

Other than that the only slightly wider 8802 is ordering a Captain Morgan and having less material taken of the flange the adding a bullet sole so that it won't be too heavy.

... Not sure what putter you are referring to on BG? I contacted Bobby and he isn't making any more 6330's and has none used. I have more than a few 8802 style putters including a Bettinardi BB2, Yes Sophia, two 8802's, MJ forged 8802 and several mallet heel shafted putters. But instantly loved the wider flanged 6330. Now that I am used to that look, the BB2 looks too skinny and I would love to find another. I should have had Jeff McCoy at Scratch build me one, as he had one I loved.

... I do not want any site lines or alignment dots and like a clean looking head with no lettering or design lines. Thanks for the Captain Morgan idea, might be something to look into.

... I asked Bobby if it were possible to take a 6313 out of production before the lines were cut and sell it to me blank, and he said I would need to order 100 to do so.

... Thanks, I appreciate the help, but have plenty of normal width 8802 and 8802 style putters. Really would like to find another one with a wider flange.

Contact LaMont at MANNKRAFTED, I have seen him make TONS of specific type sizes in the 8802 range.   Last year I had him make my father a bullseye shape head, but with a much higher headweight to help with unsteady hands.

$695 is a little steep for a solid putter. Changes will be even more. I am in touch with Ken Flannigan and he might be Thanks, but  able to make me one for less than 1/2 that.

See if you can find someone with a production model(CNC milled) that is similar.  Anything that has to be handmade is going to run quite a bit of money.  695 for a handmade is actually quite cheap.

Checked Flannigan and it looks like he has a production line similar to the 8802.  Something like that you should be able to get close to 3 bills, give or take 50.

@chisag I am sure you have found a replacement by now, but if you are still on the look and/or need a back up,  I just stumbled across this new 6330.

... Thanks JS, I saw these as I keep up with the BG website. Bobby found a used one in good shape shortly after I posted mine was gone and I bought it immediately.
