Hi Gents,

 

Have just joined the community after being a reader for the best part of a year.

Have only been playing the game for about 2 years, and absolutely love it!

I'm really enjoying the product reviews, including the info on balls from Snell Golf!

Playing off 16-17 at the moment - short term goal is to continue working hard to get that down to as close to 10 as possible (winter here at the moment, hope to be there by the end of our next summer, Feb-March 2017).

Good to have another Aussie join up. So, your current plan is to get to a single handicap? Where are living at the moment - Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne?

Driver: Cobra F9 Speedback (9.0) with Fujikura Atmos 7X (Avalanche White) 

3 Wood: Callaway Epic Sub-Zero (15 degrees) in Rogue Max 75g stiff shaft

Hybrid (not in play): Callaway Apex 20 degree with Kurokage 80g Stiff Shaft

Driving Iron: Wilson Staff Utility Iron 18 degree with KBS Hybrid Stiff shaft

Irons: Wilson Staff CB 4-PW in KBS 120 Stiff shafts

Wedges: Titleist Vokey SM6 - 50; Callaway MD4 - 56; Vokey SM9 - 60

Putter: Taylormade Rossa CGB

Hi mdumble,

I'm in Country Victoria - just under 2hrs from Melbourne.

Yep, the ultimate goal is to get to single figures (isn't everyone's), but have a bit of work to do before getting there.  Realistic of where I'm at, and what I need to do to get  there. Willing to work hard though!

It's a bit wet down here at this time of year, but the course is still very much playable, so no excuses.

I guess living in Australia means that our courses are rarely unplayable due to snow! 

How are the Perth courses?

Country Victoria has some great courses - Lang Lang and Warragul to name a few. I lived in Melbourne for 6 months, so I know a few courses around there. I remember playing Albert Park one freezing morning (temperature was about 5-6 degrees, according to the pro) and shooting 87 (handicap was 18 at the time).

 

Perth's courses are in pretty good condition right now. Just had a bit of rain, so should be even better when they dry out.

I've had a crack at pinning my spot, bigtazz, but to no avail (and probably due to being a technological dinosaur at age 38 :mellow:).
