Was gonna win pretty nice Money in DK yesterday until Kap's sorry ass laid an egg.

What a week! I scored an average of 108 with both teams (meh), 107.5 and 109. But I am 42.5 points BEHIND in one and 47 pts AHEAD in the other!

 

I had to rely on Kap in the first 'cause my QB was on bye, but fortunately put Luck back in the starting lineup in the other at the last moment.

He was the 2nd scoring player in fantasy over the last 5 weeks and was playing the Bears D who was missing Trevathan. It was a decent matchup and he was dirt cheap on draft kings. It made sense at the time. Then Chip Kelly's wanna be coaching self and Kap decided to screw me. Too bad bc the rest of my team showed out too.

Yea I obviously missed those few posts in hind sight. I think the reason I did a 4 team playoff versus a 6 team was a combination of a few things.

1. I think the fairest way to have playoff schedules are 2 week matchups. If we did 6 teams with 2 week matchups, that would make the playoffs 6 weeks long which doesn't leave much of a regular season.

2. Assuming we don't use week 17 (which isn't a week I like to use), the regular season would have only gone through week 10 which kinda sucks.

3. ESPN doesn't allow for me to tweak the playoff brackets to allow the first playoff matchup to be 1 week and the finals/semi finals to be 2 week rounds.

 

I like ESPN but maybe next year I will find a more customize-able site where it makes it easier for leagues as large as this one.

Personally I would have liked to do 6 teams making the playoffs. Top 2 best records get buys. Next 3 best records are the 3-5 seed and the 6 seed is the team with the most points scored that isn't in the playoffs. 1st playoff matchup is 3 vs 6 and 4 v 5 in a 1 week showdown where winners advance. Then semi finals are a 2 week matchup. Finals are a 2 week matchup.

That isn't really an option with ESPN though.

I play in an absolutely crazy league that uses CBS. Very flexible, but there is a charge.

 

I would vote for whatever playoff outs my team out of its misery ASAP.

 

I'm in the playoffs or on the door step in my other 2 leagues.

The rest of my lineup was pretty solid. I would liked my odds in a double up or cash game format. Just screwed me out of a good payoff in tournament play. It happens I guess.

Last time I pay any attention to ESPN advice! They said Maclin would take most of Tyreek's touches tonite. 18 pts in first half and I sat him! Guess when you gain 50-60 yds a touch, that don't matter.

Matthew Berry and Field Yates still liked Hill a lot more than Maclin. Either Karabell or Kokroft was the big Maclin backer. Can't remember which tho.

Fortunately didn't matter, still won by 88 points. Now if I can only get Justin Tucker to score 16pts in the pay league tonite! (he had 19 two weeks ago).

Indeed you did, if your team is "Is this futball?". I sure could've used Thielen's 44 pts in my Flex position instead of Gabriel's 4 pts, however, in our last match! Congrats on a great season!

Sorry for the slow update guys, I've been out of the country the last week.

 

Congrats @Fireinthehole out MGS League Champ! He and @jaxbeachpackerfan were definitely the best two teams throughout the year and got to duke it out in the finals.

Thanks man. I'm gonna see if I can find another place that is more easily customized than ESPN. It gave me a lot of probs this year.
