Nike Vapor Woods and Hybrids now on closeout

Recommended Posts

The retail prices on all of this seasons Nike Products dropped at Midnight last night. All Drivers are now $150.00!! Fairway woods are $100 and Hybrids are $90. If you have been thinking about the new Nike woods, now might be the right time....

Amazing price on those drivers, especially the Vapor Flex 440 - the thing's a beast!  May look into the hybrids and FW's - a buddy has them and they're pretty darned good, and it's a great price.

There is a little shop, not too far from where my Avatar hangs out, that might have slightly better prices...

...and THIS is why I NEVER buy new.  These are great clubs, apparently (none in my bag) and they'll still be great in 3-4 years.  It's like buying a brand new boat.  Who would do that??

I bought the Flex driver with the limited edition s+ in X and the Vapor 3 wood with the Diamana s+ 70 in X. Plus free 2 day air on TGW for 249.97. That's a hell of a deal.

Did you get fit for that or do you just know what you need?

I knew what I needed. I have been fit a couple times with Diamana s+ and I know the limited edition is just a bit stiffer which is perfect in the driver for me

So apparently TGW cancelled my order last night... Yet they had already charged my card. I called to ask what was up and they have no answer for me

I'm 95% sure that they are not able to order any custom woods at these prices.

I am just guessing here, but I suspect  that TGW thought that they could get these woods from Nike, and was in the process of Pre-Selling several loft/flex combo's that they did not have in stock and were planning on drop-shipping them from the factory.

So, it's cold and wet here in England so I thought I may use this time to write up another review.
This time of something that may be useful in this kind of weather - Nike Hyperadapt Waterproofs.   https://www.instagram.com/p/BdSmC0HhEPt   After doing some research online, it had good reviews and at half price of goretex alternatives I thought I'll give it a go. It's made of the Nike's own Storm-Fit material, which promises to be water resistant, and breathable.   I've played it in some insane conditions like: https://www.instagram.com/p/BW-AygWBBVy/   Or real storms: https://www.instagram.com/p/BU4kAW3h9oy   And the bottom line is - it did keep me dry. Well, kind of.     The quality is pretty good. All nike Hyperadapt stuff is good quality to be honest.    Rory wears it after all. The stretchable shoulders in Hyperadapt stuff is amazing. Love it, I'm surprised no one else does something like it.   Anyway - down to the good, bad and ugly.   * It looks good.  * It's very easy to put on quickly. * Definitely very waterproof, even in the worse conditions imaginable. * Comparing to other waterproofs it's pretty quiet. * Comfortable to swing in, doesn't restrict movement.     I have 1 issue with it, and it's breathability. I do sweat on the best of days, and in this I felt like like Ryan Seacrest watching Brokeback Mountain.   Sweaty. Wet. So as much as it kept the water coming from the outside - it did make me wet and hot on the inside :-(   And that for me is a dealbreaker :-( Maybe now that the temperatures are close to 0 it would be better.   As I have replaced them already, I will be giving the whole suit away.  So stay tuned.
