fsucrna
I recently got in the market for a new set of irons. As I had started with the usual suspects, I progressed through the not so common clubs. Much to my surprise I hit a club without looking at the brand, and was very surprised to find out who after I hit it several times: BRIDGESTONE! I then waited until after the PGA Merchandise show in Orlando just to satisfy my curiosity that I wasn't missing something awesome coming out. I called the company to order my clubs and discovered that they were not in production anymore?! That particular line was being discontinued and that I would have to find them at a secondary source. Which I did! I can't tell you how awesome the J15CB clubs are... I am very very happy with these "discontinued" clubs! Kenny B
Ping? Or ___? Not the Ping. While I was at the Ping fitting in AZ, I determined that their hybrid was not for me. I am currently playing the original TM RBZ hybrids in 3H and 5H. The 5H is fine; the 3H not so much, but it has been better than most other hybrids I've tried, but it's been a year or so. I spent a lot of time with the Ben Hogan hybrids during the forum test, and they weren't for me either. Last year at Demo Days I tried the Cobra (forget which model); it was OK, but not as good as my RBZ. I will certainly try TaylorMade again and maybe Callaway but I have never found a Callaway club that felt good to me since the original Big Bertha driver. I am also considering ordering the Bobby Jones hybrid just to give it a try. I also think that a 21* may be a better option than my 19*. That would allow me to look at adding a 17 or 18 degree fairway wood. I took my 3W out of my bag because I was not hitting it consistently better than the RBZ 3H. I think it is time to re-evaluate the top end of my bag. cksurfdude 1 Quote “We don’t stop playing the game because we get old; we get old because we stop playing the game.”

FYI, I have a Cobra F6 from last year (maybe the one you tried?) which is good but not awesome, but very playable and versatile and does offer adjustability up to 3 degrees .. so in one club you can go from an, eg., 2H/16° to a 3H/19° in 0.5 increments plus "Draw" setting options. StrokerAce
didn't get the gap wedge in my new Sterling SL irons and may end up regretting it. PW is 45* and my Callaway wedges are 52/58. Thinking about ordering the 50* gap wedge and bending my 52 to 54. Also realized that I need a lie angle change on my putter so I'm going to get the shaft bent so that the toe doesn't stick up in the air.
