I recently got in the market for a new set of irons. As I had started with the usual suspects, I progressed through the not so common clubs. Much to my surprise I hit a club without looking at the brand, and was very surprised to find out who after I hit it several times: BRIDGESTONE!

I then waited until after the PGA Merchandise show in Orlando just to satisfy my curiosity that I wasn't missing something awesome coming out. I called the company to order my clubs and discovered that they were not in production anymore?! That particular line was being discontinued and that I would have to find them at a secondary source. Which I did! I can't tell you how awesome the J15CB clubs are... I am very very happy with these "discontinued" clubs!

Got my irons, hybrid and 5 wood ordered from Wilson today! Hoping to pick them up early next week! Was not able to get them in blue. Sounds like only one set made for now. Still thrilled with the order.

Stay FAR FAR away from counterfeit equipment. Clone stuff is another story but counterfeit is a big no no.

"Clone" meaning like copycat, from a different brand?

David Edel is making some incredible clubs! Please spend the time effort and money in getting properly fit for one of his putters! I think they might just have one of the best fit putters on the market!!!

That's one of the reasons I'm going for this fitting- I was fitted for, and bought, an Edel putter a couple months ago. Posts about it, and pics, are in the Edel putter thread.

thinking about new irons, Taylormade warrantied out my RSi1's last summer and sent the 2016 M2's. I dont like them at all, major differences. Not even sure what to look at because I have always been a TM guy for irons.

Thinking of getting the Ping G30 SF Tec (if I can find a deal on it used) to replace my Bombtech Grenade.

Thinking about a new driver and some irons. I think my mind is set on the Ping G30 driver, and I plan on picking one up in a few weeks. As far as irons go, I'm interested in the i200s, but I don't know when I'll pull the trigger on those.

The G30 is the real deal. I recently picked one up and it performs very well. Look at all three models as each one performs a different way. Trying different shafts is also recommend.

The i200 irons are nice.  I went through a fitting at Ping HQ in AZ last month and they felt really good.  However, they weren't significantly different than my i20's.  Not worth the upgrade, but if I needed irons, they would be on my short list.

Yeah I currently have the G25s, so I probably don't need them but they are nice and I'm itching for a new set. We'll see what the year holds.

Ping? Or ___?

Not the Ping.  While I was at the Ping fitting in AZ, I determined that their hybrid was not for me.  I am currently playing the original TM RBZ hybrids in 3H and 5H.  The 5H is fine; the 3H not so much, but it has been better than most other hybrids I've tried, but it's been a year or so.  I spent a lot of time with the Ben Hogan hybrids during the forum test, and they weren't for me either.  Last year at Demo Days I tried the Cobra (forget which model); it was OK, but not as good as my RBZ.  I will certainly try TaylorMade again and maybe Callaway but I have never found a Callaway club that felt good to me since the original Big Bertha driver.  I am also considering ordering the Bobby Jones hybrid just to give it a try.

I also think that a 21* may be a better option than my 19*.  That would allow me to look at adding a 17 or 18 degree fairway wood.  I took my 3W out of my bag because I was not hitting it consistently better than the RBZ 3H.  I think it is time to re-evaluate the top end of my bag.

Sounds like you may want to look at an adjustable hybrid so you can dial it up or down a bit as desired?

FYI, I have a Cobra F6 from last year (maybe the one you tried?) which is good but not awesome, but very playable and versatile and does offer adjustability up to 3 degrees .. so in one club you can go from an, eg., 2H/16° to a 3H/19° in 0.5 increments plus "Draw" setting options.

Recently saw a favorable review about this year's F7 with the Baffler Rail sole.

didn't get the gap wedge in my new Sterling SL irons and may end up regretting it.

PW is 45* and my Callaway wedges are 52/58.

Thinking about ordering the 50* gap wedge and bending my 52 to 54.

Also realized that I need a lie angle change on my putter so I'm going to get the shaft bent so that the toe doesn't stick up in the air.  Thankfully the same fitter can do all of it.
